The pay-per-view schedule of WWE keeps on changing on a yearly basis. The running year is no different as it has either inserted or canceled other shows in comparison of last year. The most notable change is WWE removing the all-women PPV event Evolution from the calendar that was about to happen in the fall. But it’s no more intact on the PPV schedule.

We should note that WWE inaugurated the all-female event named Evolution, last year that earned huge attention from the crowd. It was a huge success from both critics and popular point of view. The audience would surely love to see the show coming back with more entertainment. But it’ll not be happening and there’s a big reason behind it as declared by a reliable source.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE canceled Evolution since they do not think of getting the same response that they did for last year’s show. The main reason behind this is the absence of Ronda Rousey from WWE programming. She was the main crowd-puller for the show whereas Nikki Bella was another big draw for the event. Both of them will not be available making WWE believe that Evolution II will not be a major success.

It’s a fact that WWE solely depended on Ronda Rousey to sell out the tickets of Evolution part I. All the promotions were based on the main event match that took place between Nikki Bella vs. Rousey for the Raw Women’s Title. This was the major attraction for the October 28 night hosted by Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Uniondale, New York. Such a lineup won’t be available since both these women are on a hiatus.

Now, the current WWE Raw women’s champion does have a different feeling around Evolution. Becky Lynch wants the PPV to come back since she believes that WWE could get success in hosting the second edition even without the baddest woman on the planet. Here’s what she has said when Alex McCarthy of TalkSport asked her whether it would be a smart move to bring back the all-female show,

“Oh, absolutely! First and foremost, it was one of the best pay-per-views of the year.”

“I don’t see any reason why not. I think we have a strong enough women’s division [without Rousey], as long as they tell the stories around us and let us go. And… that’s all I’ll say.”
