WWE News: Reason Why WWE Raw Announced Multiple Matches For TLC
Dec 3, 2018 at 7:13 AM
WWE announced a number of matches for the TLC PPV by the end of last week. The match card got filled up with a number of non-title matches featuring the mid-card as well as main event talents. These are the two matches that became official to take place at WWE TLC,
– Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor
– Bobby Lashley vs. Elias
If the current scenario is any indication then these two matches are good indications for the PPV itself. This means that the original main event from WWE Raw will be intact on the match card. Braun Strowman will go one-on-one in a singles contest against Baron Corbin in a match with high stakes. It will also take place under TLC rules.
But we were unsure whether Braun Strowman can make it to WWE TLC or not. He is dealing with a shattered elbow forcing to undergo a surgery. It happened on last week’s Tuesday. So it might be impossible for him to compete at the upcoming show which is less than three weeks away. But these two aforementioned matches suggest his status is okay.

Earlier the plan was to arrange a six-man tag team main event in case Braun Strowman can’t compete. All the names from the aforementioned matches were about to compete in this match. WWE booking them in a singles contest hints that there’s no reason to worry about the Monster among Men’s status. He should be okay to perform at WWE TLC, (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)
“This means the backup 6 man tag team TLC match (Bray Wyatt/Kurt Angle, Elias & Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley) won’t be taking place. WWE began the build-up for this 6 man tag team match this week with Corbin’s heel trio taking out Elias & Balor. This is why WWE announced a separate singles match for both McIntyre & Lashley.”
The Dirty Sheets reported that Braun Strowman will be there on WWE Raw at backstage. Doctors will check him up and give a feedback. It should be a positive one paving the way for the behemoth to perform at WWE TLC. But he has just been over with a surgery. So chances are that he will compete in a short match against Baron Corbin.
It should be a squash match in the favor of Braun Strowman. If this happens then WWE might not make this as the main event match of the night. But whatever way it happens, this would earn him a championship shot against Brock Lesnar. These two are likely to collide at the Royal Rumble PPV for the Universal title.
