WWE has started the Superstar Shakeup process on last night’s episode of WWE Raw. A number of superstars from Smackdown and NXT have entered the flagship show territory that could change the landscape, going forward. One of the biggest inclusions to Monday Nights was bringing back The Usos on the red brand after a gap of a couple of years.

When it comes to the tag team division of WWE, The Usos are no doubt the very best that the company has to offer. They come from the legendary Samoan Dynasty who has a long history with WWE. These two also had a long connection with the company by starting over a decade ago in this business. Now, it is time for them to shine bright on the flagship show.

This leads to the title change that took place on last week’s Smackdown Live. The Usos lost their tag team championships to the Hardy Boyz. It was a dream match for the fans that WWE added on the post-Wrestlemania edition of the show on a sudden basis. After last night’s episode of Superstar Shakeup, it’s quite presumable as to why they have become the former tag champs.

As stated by The Dirty Sheets, The Usos lost their Smackdown tag team championships to the Hardy Boyz since it was a pre-planned idea. The creative team already chose them to be a part of the Superstar Shakeup and shift their home-brand and move to WWE Raw. Hence, they had to arrange the dream match against The Hardy Boyz on a weekly show rather than a bigger pay-per-view event.

Previously, the plan was to host this match at Wrestlemania 35 with an added stipulation. But WWE had to deal with the time issues and hence nixed plans for Hardy Boyz and The Usos, (via wwfoldschool.com)

“The original plan for WrestleMania 35 was for The Hardy Boyz to defeat The Usos in a Ladder match to capture the Titles, but WWE had timing issues so they decided to book the 4 corners match and saved Hardys winning the Titles for the post-WrestleMania 35 edition of SmackDown.”

The idea was to consume as many superstars as possible into competition within the given time frame. So hosting the fatal-4-way match seemed a far better idea for the creative team rather than a traditional tag team match. Now both the teams will try to rule their respective tag team division on Raw and Smackdown zones.
