We have seen some fresh matchups on Smackdown Live in recent times. It is the unique thing why the fans love the blue brand. The management of the blue brand always comes up with fresh ideas to keep us entertained.
Some of the fans believe Smackdown to be the A-show, not Monday Night Raw. Last night too, the GM of Smackdown came up with a huge contest on the match card. It was a first-time contest on the show between two of the all-time great superstars.
Jeff Hardy was absent from Smackdown for the past few weeks. He came back to the show this week to perform in a huge contest. Shinsuke Nakamura posted a picture with Hardy on Twitter that gave the idea of a match to the general manager.

Paige made another interesting decision for the show in Memphis. She booked Hardy vs Nakamura in a singles contest.
There’s no doubt this is a dream match for the fans all the way. Plus the fans just love to see younger Hardy in action on the show.
Can @ShinsukeN get past #USChampion @JEFFHARDYBRAND just days before he meets @AJStylesOrg in a #LastManStanding match for the #WWEChampionship at #MITB?! #SDLive pic.twitter.com/MGuescFgjx

He was the one to start the match with authority on his side. The fans continued to chant DELETE, as he waved his hands. Nakamura hit hard on the top turnbuckle by him. Hardy then delivers a right hand to his opponent and sent him straight into the ring post. But he slid underneath the ropes and kept taunting Hardy.
Nakamura came back to the Smackdown contest with a kick to the side of the head. Jeff replied with his pendant move, Whisper in the Wind.
He delivered the Twist of Fate to put Nakamura down. The Swanton Bomb was next in-store for Jeff Hardy off the top rope. He failed to get the pinfall since Nakamura put his legs into the rope.

Nakamura rolled outside the ring. Jeff brought him back to the contest when Nakamura hit a low blow to his opponent. It led to disqualification to the match.
Nakamura counted to ten and watched Jeff being unable to respond to it. It turned out to be a strong statement from The Artist on Smackdown for the upcoming WWE title match at MITB.
