Roman Reigns returned to in-ring competition at the Fastlane PPV event. The Shield reunited for one last time to defeat the team of Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre. He is in tremendous shape and there’s no way for him to miss Wrestlemania 35. He was also present to promote the next edition that takes place in his home state of Florida.
There’s been a lot of promotional activities and interviews going on around him ever since he returned. The franchise player has come back after a hiatus of six months and there’s a lot that the world wants to know. One of the topics is the burning rumors of some of his friends wanting to leave WWE.
We have previously reported that his brothers The Usos are amongst those names. The veteran tag teams are due with their renewal of contract with the WWE. There are fair chances that they might not renew the deals and choose another destination following WWE. Roman Reigns spoke to TalkSport and addressed the situation.
As per his comments, the speculations may have been true. He obviously did not want to make any direct comments on the contract situation. But he will be there to support The Usos whatever they decide to do in the future. At the end of the day, it’s all about being happy and what makes you happy. Here’s more from him, (courtesy wrestlingnews.com)
“Whatever that entails, do what you have to do to make you and your family happy. For me and my family, that’s having the same people around me that I’ve had and that’s the hard part is seeing people go. But, the cool part is, when people go, some people are introduced. As some old faces leave, we have new faces and new relationships and new bonds and new chemistry.”
WWE has also been trying to retain the Usos under their wings. This is the reason why bookings for them have been so strong in recent times. They are the current Smackdown tag team champions starting from Elimination Chamber. For the first time ever, they will be part of Wrestlemania main card via a solid tag team title match.
Roman Reigns also takes about Dean Ambrose who’s also leaving. This is the rarest occasion where WWE actually announced that the superstar is leaving once his contract is getting over. The Big Dog mentioned him to be his family. It’s good to work with a group of people who’s been so familiar to you. But at the end of the day, he can’t put pressure on anyone to stay here,
“The Usos…obviously they are my family. But Dean is the same way. A lot of these guys are. That’s what people don’t realize, it’s not just these names that you know, but I’m so close to so many of these guys. When it comes down to it this is business and these men are businessmen and they’re going to have to take care of themselves and get the numbers and the years on the contracts that they want.”
