WWE News: Seth Rollins’ Injury Forced A Number Of Changes On This Week’s Raw

Seth Rollins has been dealing with an injury ever since late 2018. He needed a hiatus from wrestling to heal up the wounds. But WWE selected him to be the 2019 Royal Rumble winner and so had to go through with the hectic schedule in the month of January. He went to win the prestigious battle royal to confirm the main event spot at Wrestlemania.
This got him into a lot of troubles with his back and hence WWE gave him time-off following Royal Rumble event. The insider belief is that Seth Rollins does not need any surgery to get rid of the concussion. Only some rest at home will make him ready for the upcoming Wrestlemania match for the Universal Championship.
However, there’re a lot of speculations going on around the injury of Seth Rollins. Some believe that the severity, in this case, has gone to become much higher than initially thought. Rumors had it that he would be a part of WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. But he did not show up on that night and nor did he appear at this week’s Monday Night Raw.
Now reports have surfaced claiming that WWE had to come up with bigger changes in the plan due to his absence. Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer gave updates that Seth Rollins was supposed to be present on this week’s episode of Raw took place from the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana.
In fact, the show was about to build around the Royal Rumble winner. The show’s writers already included him for multiple segments which did not actually happen. So we rather witnessed him in a backstage segment also featuring Dean Ambrose. Apparently, the below-given statements are the reason for the no-showing in front of the crowd,
“The show was built around Seth Rollins. Everyone thought that he’d be okay. He doesn’t need surgery, he just needs rest. They thought that he would be cleared at any time and he wasn’t cleared. He’s probably not far from being cleared. He was there, but a lot of his segments that involved him being in the ring had to be removed.”
Reports also claim that doctors have not cleared Seth Rollins, to date. However, his injury is still believed to be a minor one that does not require surgery. He is on the verge of getting back into a competent state in a few weeks. Hopefully, we will see him back in action sometime in March to gear up for the big match at Wrestlemania 35.
