WWE’s injury list has a few big names be it real or in kayfabe perspective. As we head towards Wrestlemania 35, this might create a big headache for the officials. The prime concern should be the concussion picked up by the challenger of the WWE Universal Championship from Monday Night Raw i.e. Seth Rollins.
WWE had to change WWE Raw segments for Seth Rollins
As per the previous updates, The Architect is dealing with a back injury for quite sometimes. But he went through the Royal Rumble match since he was the selected winner. WWE kept him away from physical confrontations via an attack by Bobby Lashley. This was just to protect him from increasing the severity.
For now, Seth Rollins will not be part of any physical confrontation on WWE Raw. This is to ensure that he will be okay in time to perform at Wrestlemania 35. The Royal Rumble victory earned him the Universal Championship match at Wrestlemania. He will challenge Brock Lesnar over the title at the biggest event of the year.
However, a recent report from Dave Meltzer claimed that this match might be in jeopardy. His words from Wrestling Observer Radio claimed that the injury seems to be worse than expected. He has gone through a rigorous schedule for the most part of 2018 and needs some rest prior to Wrestlemania 35.
But as per Meltzer, the injury might continue giving troubles to Seth Rollins as it is much severe than initially thought. Here’s what he had stated,
“So is he like really, I know he’s got a bad back, but is he hurt? I mean he must be hurting worse than they’re letting on. Because it sounded like Kurt Angle before that WrestleMania in Seattle almost,”
Seth Rollins was destined name to challenge Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 35. He is the current poster boy of the Raw brand in the absence of Roman Reigns. So there’s no doubt why WWE picked him as the new number one contender for the Universal Championship match that would be one of the main events.
It is likely that Seth Rollins will eventually dethrone Brock Lesnar from his title reign at Wrestlemania. He has carried the flagship show for a long time and deserves to be the champion more than anybody else on the roster. Hopefully, this ongoing injury does not prevent him from earning the spotlight on April 7th.
