Earlier Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed that WWE was about to announce Starrcade while airing Smackdown, this week. This week’s episode took place in Atlanta, Georgia whereas the upcoming WWE Network special will air from Duluth, Georgia. So the announcement is likely to increase local ticket sales. We expect to get more details on the upcoming show, moving forward.

The iconic Starrcade event made a successful return in 2017 which did not air on the WWE Network. But the lineups and matches received good ratings from the critics as WWE decided to keep this show intact in the coming years. The returning edition witnessed AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal inside a steel cage at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Last year, Seth Rollins battled Dean Ambrose for the IC title with the same stipulation in the main event.
