The Undertaker could have had a huge Wrestlemania match against a legend that did not come to fruition. We are talking about Sting who was the flag-bearer of the WCW brand who later transformed to be a TNA guy. Both the companies received his seamless services since he did not arrive at the WWE until 2014. Unfortunately, his run did not last long in the biggest promotion since an injury ended his career.

But Sting is still hopeful to come back to perform in one more match. We do know who that specific person is who he would like to face in the career-ending match. The Undertaker is the man who never had the dream match with The Stinger. The WCW franchise still has some hopes for the high-caliber match.

Sting recently appeared at a live panel that Fite TV broadcasted which spelled out his burning desire to feature in one last match. He confirmed to come out of retirement if getting a chance to feature in a match against The Undertaker. “I mean, everyone knows who it would be. Taker, he’s the only guy I’d come out of retirement for now. No one else. We could just never get it together to make it happen. When I started talking to WWE he was booked with Brock and then I did the deal with Triple H and he had another feud going on at the time, so it was just one of those things we couldn’t make happen.”
The WWE Hall of Famer also expounded upon his thoughts of his WWE run that some believes to be a failure. He featured in the first match at Wrestlemania 31 against Triple H to come up short. This match saw a reunion of D-Generation X and nWo.
Later in 2015, Sting entered in a WWE Championship feud against Seth Rollins following Summerslam. The match at Night of Champions ended his career for good as he injured his neck following a Buckle Bomb. After this, WWE never cleared him to wrestle and he had to announce retirement. But the veteran does not have any hard feelings on the WWE run he had,
“But I don’t regret it not happening either, I mean I got to face Triple H at my first WrestleMania and then wrestle Seth for the world title, so I didn’t do too badly out of that deal. But yeah, now, the only person I’m getting back in the ring for is Taker.”
