Drew McIntyre had a solid run ever since coming back to the WWE. He became the NXT Champion in the most minimum amount of time. An injury forced him to relinquish the title but he recovered from that only to find out that the main roster call was waiting for him. He joined Monday Night Raw brand to get a huge push going forward.
Why WWE ended Drew McIntyre’s streak?
Drew McIntyre was the only one to remain undefeated in the male locker room since Wrestlemania 34. Both Triple H and Vince McMahon favored this Scott to elevate his position on the show. The undefeated streak continued until Dolph Ziggler defeated him in a singles contest.
But this does not hint an end to the suggested push. Drew McIntyre will be getting a huge Wrestlemania match for sure. Some of the fans speculate that WWE would arrange the main event spotlight for him on April 7th. He is entering the Royal Rumble match eyeing the same. However, speculations suggest something else especially after the first episode of WWE Raw in 2019.

Iwnerd.com hinted a favorable option for Drew McIntyre for this year’s Wrestlemania where his opponent will be none other than John Cena. These two had a segment on WWE Raw where both took shots at each other with the mic before getting involved in a six-man tag team match. John Cena ended up on the winning side courtesy of his partners.
But when it comes to Wrestlemania 35, the outcome would be really different. Drew McIntyre is an emerging star who would be carrying the WWE brand for years to come whereas John Cena has transitioned into a part-time role. So there’s no way that the Cenation Leader would pick up the win but he is likely to put over the Scottish Psychopath, big-time.
Here’s more from the source,
“Cena putting over McIntyre in a singles match at Wrestlemania could be really big for McIntyre and his career moving forward. It also would be a fun match for the card. Current rumors suggest that McIntyre won’t be involved in the WWE Universal Title picture at Wrestlemania, so this would be a solid alternative.”
Going forward, Drew McIntyre would boast about this win so that WWE officials will insert him into the Universal Championship picture after Wrestlemania. John Cena, on the other hand, was previously not on WWE’s Wrestlemania plans. But he is now available for the Royal Rumble match which hints that he will perform at the biggest event of the year.
