Kevin Owens set the pro-wrestling abuzz with one shocking move on WWE Raw. It happened on the August 27 edition in his home country of Canada where he decided to quit. He simply left the ring uttering the phrase ‘I Quit’. Speculations have been running rampant ever since then about the potential future planning with this superstar of WWE Raw.
Previous updates suggested that Kevin Owens is set to return in a new role on WWE Raw. He will make an alliance with Paul Heyman hiring the latter as an advocate. Heyman is currently not having any client in the WWE following the Brock Lesnar’s loss at Summerslam. The beast is heading back to the UFC in the near future.

Making such an ally seems good for the future of Kevin Owens. This could lead him to the main event picture once again. But Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided a rumor killer on this scenario. They suggested there’s no such backstage planning going on around the former Universal Champion on WWE Raw. He will not be forming an alliance with Paul Heyman.
The update claimed that there was no concrete source for the previous rumor around Kevin Owens. He himself is so strong with the mic that Paul Heyman does not even need to endorse him separately. Rather an impactful comeback can give the ‘prizefighter’ status back to him. Only time will tell how this storyline angle could play out in the future.

Meanwhile, WWE is forcing the fans to believe in the ongoing angle. They are hell-bent to make the fans believe that Kevin Owens has indeed quit WWE Raw. He is posting pictures on social media relaxing after leaving the company. Also, the updates from WWE.com suggest that earlier announced Super Show Down tag team match is off the card.
John Cena and Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens and Elias should be the lineup. But here’s what WWE’s official website has recently stated,
“With Lashley bent on taking care of “unfinished business,” can he and Cena pick up where they left off? As for Owens and Elias, KO revealed on the Aug. 27 edition of Raw that he “quits,” so it remains unknown at this time how that unexpected revelation will affect this scheduled match. Will Elias need to find a replacement?”
It’s still not clear whether Kevin Owens chooses to dodge the biggest live event conducted by WWE. Nevertheless, this has turned into an interesting storyline indeed. Elias starting to find a new partner in the future could push the angle further.
