Roman Reigns will take on against Braun Strowman at Hell in a Cell. This is going to be the main event of the upcoming PPV event. Advertisements of the host venue already confirmed the match earlier. Later WWE started a storyline angle between these two making the match official. The Universal Championship will be hanging in the balance.
These two are no strangers when it comes to a rivalry. Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman tore down each other for almost the entire of 2017. We have seen some grueling moments between these two on WWE TV. Furthermore, these two delivered solid gimmick matches like Last Man Standing, No-DQ, Falls Count Anywhere and an Ambulance Match.
The next chapter of their rivalry is set to culminate inside Hell in a Cell. The steel structure will surround these two preventing any outside interference. You can only imagine what these two men will do to each other in such an environment where everything is legal. These two might not be the same again after coming out of the Hell in a Cell structure.
But recent reports suggest that the current champion will come out of the match with the title around his shoulder. Cagesideseats.com suggested that the WWE officials intend to give a lengthy championship run to Roman Reigns. So there’s no way that Braun Strowman will be successful in winning the Universal Title at Hell in a Cell.
The Monster among Men cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to set up this matchup. He chose the Hell in a Cell environment in order to prevent the Shield brethren from interfering the match. The Hounds have been together following Summerslam building up a rivalry against Braun Strowman. So they could try to destroy the challenger during the match.
Competing inside Hell in a Cell will keep him safe for the entire part of the matchup. But it looks like that will not benefit him at all in winning the Universal title. Roman Reigns will pick up a clean pinfall win over Braun Strowman while retaining the championship for the second time after Summerslam.
Braun Strowman, on the other hand, will join a list of superstars who failed to cash in Money in the Bank briefcase. John Cena, Damien Sandow, and Baron Corbin are those names. Now a superstar in his prime will join the list after Hell in a Cell. Roman Reigns will continue his title run to keep the TV ratings of WWE Raw going upwards.
