WWE fans are well aware of the fact that the company gives the least importance to the tag team division. They have not been really able to build new tag teams over the past couple of years. The New Day, The Usos and The Bar are the only three tag teams on the main roster that have been able to prove their dominance.
Another fresh team coming up featuring a legend
The other tag teams, be it on WWE Raw, Smackdown or NXT became a victim of terrible bookings. Quite often, the NXT division produced a number of strong factions who lost relevance after entering the main roster. This is really a punishable offense of the creative team to ruin the careers of young superstars.
However, The Revival might have been able to change the scene a bit. They are one of those tag team specialists from NXT roster who did nothing upon coming to the main roster. Apparently, they wanted to get their release from the company a few days ago. They were not happy with their status on the WWE Raw roster.
This news took the pro-wrestling world by storm. Even names like Sasha Banks saluted the guts of The Revival for doing so. They actually did something very good for the sake of the entire tag team division. It’s still not clear whether they will stay with the company or leave. But they will stay as the reason behind a potential change.
Recent reports claim that WWE officials might finally give a push to the tag team division. This topic was nurtured on Wrestling Observer Radio where we received a hint of potential change on the tag team division. Apparently, the officials informed all the tag teams that they will receive a strong booking going forward.
This means that things might become brighter for them as we head towards Wrestlemania 35. Giving this info to them is also assuring the talents that they will be relevant enough on the roster, going forward. Small hints are also available on the same from both WWE Raw and Smackdown. A number of new tag teams will be making their presence felt in due course.
Heavy Machinery already made their in-ring debut on WWE Raw. The Revival is getting TV time on a weekly basis. They have challenged WWE Raw tag team champions on multiple occasions. This might have set the groundwork for winning the titles. Over on Smackdown, Shane McMahon and The Miz are fresh additions to the tag team roster.
