Sasha Banks is currently standing in the most uncertain stage of her career by deciding to quit WWE. The company officials do want her to be back in the original position which she barely cares about. Hence, we have not traced her on Monday Night Raw ever since Wrestlemania 35. This firm attitude can cost her in a big way going forward if the current reports are any indications.
Sasha influencing another champion to leave WWE
As reported earlier, the problems started from Wrestlemania 35 onwards where the former women’s champion had a meltdown. Sasha Banks and Bayley defended the WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championships at the ‘show of shows’ in a Fatal-4-Way match. They lost the titles to The IIconics from SmackDown Live and were not happy with WWE’s decision of taking the title away from them.
So, Sasha Banks decided to ask her release from the WWE where the head honchos wanted her to come back after a short hiatus. She already enjoyed an unauthorized vacation following Wrestlemania and did not show up in any of the shows. If the same situation continues then it is certain that Vince McMahon will look into the matter and takes the next step that would not be good for the popular superstar.
As per reports from wrestlingnews.co, WWE could do the similar they have done to Luke Harper who recently wanted a release from the company. They froze his contract and added six months to the deal that he missed due to injury. Even Sasha Banks can face similar consequences is she does not intend to show up. There’s still no sign of the Legit Boss despite rumors indicating a return at Money in the Bank.
Dave Meltzer also noted on Sasha Banks on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He also supported the above reports saying that WWE is planning to sit Sasha Banks out for the rest of her contract if they remain unable to bring her back. It will not be good for her since she has already signed a multi-year deal with the company and can’t compete anywhere else in the world.

WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas recently gave his thoughts on the situation during an interview with Boston Wrestling MWF. Check out his comments where he basically clarified how big mistake has Sasha banks committed,
“WWE doesn’t need Sasha Banks; Sasha Banks needs WWE, “and Banks will find herself going “lower and lower on the totem pole” without the backing of WWE. He also believes that “every woman in the WWE celebrated” when word got around that she wants to quit because it opens up an opportunity for them.” (H/T: WrestlingInc)
