Daniel Bryan coming up with the idea of an eco-friendly did not favor him at all. On Smackdown Live, we have let known of the next WWE Championship defense for him that will be the toughest for him to date. The current champion will have to put his title on the line against five other superstars from the blue brand that he had no hint otherwise.
As per the announcement made by Triple H on Smackdown, Daniel Bryan will defend the WWE title inside the Elimination Chamber structure. The five challengers in this match will be AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, and Mustafa Ali. The only hope might be left for Bryan to retain his title is maybe his current ally with Eric Rowan. It all started back on this Sunday night.
Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles at Royal Rumble had the most shocking end possible. Obviously, the babyface challenger is the face that runs this place on Smackdown Live. So WWE could not hand him a clean pinfall loss. So an interruption seemed mandatory helping the champion to retain. It also allowed him to continue with the dominant heel run.
Eric Rowan returned at Royal Rumble be-siding himself with Daniel Bryan. In case you have forgotten, this name was one half of the Bludgeon Brothers on Smackdown Live. Harper and Rowan also won the tag team championships in 2018. Rowan put AJ Styles down with a chokeslam after which Bryan just needed to pin his opponent.
Now the question was why Eric Rowan decided to do such a shocking act at Royal Rumble. The Bludgeon Brothers had Daniel Bryan as their biggest enemy when they appeared last on Smackdown. Team Hell No challenged the Bludgeons over the titles only to come up short. So we anticipated an answer from Rowan as to what prompted him to help the champ after returning.
We did not receive any answer to this question, to date but we do know that the WWE Championship match will have major stipulation inside the Elimination Chamber. Here are the rules exclusively made for this demonic structure, (courtesy WWE.com)
“In the Elimination Chamber, two competitors will start the bout while the remaining four Superstars remain enclosed in pods. At specified intervals, a pod will open at random, enabling a Superstar to enter the match. This will continue until all six of the combatants have joined the bout. Any Superstar can be eliminated at any time via pinfall or submission and must leave the chamber. The last Superstar standing will be the WWE Champion.”
