WWE News: WWE Mixed Match Challenge Episode 2 Results From Facebook Live

Mixed Match Challenge season 2 started from last week onwards. It has an exclusive streaming feed on Facebook Live which is a first for any of the wrestling shows in the history. Last week, Braun Strowman and Ember Moon picked up the win from WWE Raw to advance to the second round. AJ Styles and Charlotte were the other duos from Smackdown who received the win.

This week, Mixed Match Challenge aired on Facebook with two more matches. From WWE Raw, we had a brand new team of Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox going up against Bobby Lashley and Mickie James. It’s worth to note that the lineup changed just like last week due to an injury. As per the earlier announcement, Sasha Banks was Lashley’s partner.

But The Boss is having troubles with injuries which is why Mickie James had to replace her in the match. The other match was from the Smackdown brand. The entertaining duo of Carmella and R-Truth performed together as a duo for the first time against The Miz and Asuka. This team is the strongest as they won they won the first season of Mixed Match Challenge on Facebook.

The first match of the night took place on behalf of WWE Raw. Team Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox) squared off against Team Country Dominance (Bobby Lashley and Mickie James). The match began in an entertaining way as the two men took part in a push-up contest before the start of the match. Their respective partners were sitting on the back during push-ups.

Mickie James and Alicia Fox soon started the match in a friendly environment. They both belong to the stable of Alexa Bliss on WWE Raw. But things became intense as Sunil Singh tried to interfere for the sake of Jinder Mahal. Lashley and Mickie James soon sent Fox and Mahal to outside. The momentums continued for Lashley and Mickie as they picked up the first win in Mixed Match Challenge in the following manner, (courtesy WWE.com)

“Then, in the height of the action, Mickie and Alicia collided inside the ring, and Lashley’s hype cohort Lio Rush took out Sunil Singh on the outside, clearing the way for The Rocky Mountain Machine to drive The Modern Day Maharaja into the canvas with an earth-shattering Standing Stalling Suplex for the three-count.”

The second match of the Mixed Match Challenge night witnessed two teams from Smackdown squaring off. Prior to the match began, the audience started chanting Truth TV in applause from Truth and Carmella’s talk-show. Asuka and Carmella started a dance competition inside the ring. The Miz joined them mocking the moonwalk of Carmella. But he soon received a big boot on the face to get out of the contest.

Carmella and Asuka continued the match inside the ring. The Miz broke a pinfall attempt by Carmella to create a chaos inside the ring. This helped the match to witness an early end, (courtesy WWE.com)
