WWE Raw Preview (15/07/19): Extreme Rules Fallouts, Summerslam Storylines Begin 1
courtesy WWE.com

Extreme Rules was a compact night delivered by WWE with a stacked card. From WWE Raw, The Undertaker-Roman Reigns kicked off the night in truly chaotic fashion winning a No Holds Barred match. Lashley and Strowman tor the house down in the Last Man Standing contest forcing the fans to chant, ‘this is awesome’. But the real shocker was waiting by the end where Brock Lesnar showed up to cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

WWE To Announce Huge Match For Shane McMahon At Summerslam

With the help of the opportunistic contract, he has now become the new Universal Champions which must shake things up on WWE Raw. Just four weeks remaining from Summerslam, we wonder how the title match storyline will continue from here. The women’s champion is still the same whereas we have received a new US Champion at Extreme Rules. We are likely to see fallouts from these incidents as WWE Raw emanates tonight from at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

WWE’s power couple could not end Extreme Rules on a pleasant note after the beast incarnate showed up. He lurked inside the ring to choose the most perfect time to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase as stated by WWE.com,

“Torn between standing his guard and coming to the aid of Lynch, who was stirring at ringside, Rollins was easy prey for a pair of German Suplexes, at which point the cash-in was called in earnest and Lesnar administered a single F-5 to pin Rollins and retain his championship. Extreme Rules ended with Lesnar strolling up the ramp, his long-shot plan to regain the title having come to full fruition; Rollins, meanwhile, stared blankly at the mat.”

With Summerslam closing in, WWE could not think of a better idea, perhaps to host a rematch between Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar. This must be the main event of the upcoming edition in Toronto which is why the beast chose to cash-in on Rollins at Extreme Rules. Hopefully, Heyman and Lesnar will be present on WWE Raw to address the situation. This would also throw sheds on this ongoing feud that must culminate at Summerslam.

The other main event of Extreme Rules PPV ended in a predicted manner where The Undertaker and Roman Reigns picked up a huge win. But with Summerslam approaching, the storyline must not end so to allow The Deadman available for the show. At present, the ads of the biggest event of summer predict The Undertaker will face Drew McIntyre. On the other hand, Roman Reigns must take care of the unfinished business with Shane McMahon. So tonight’s WWE Raw might be setting up these two separate matches.

But we also have to remember that Kevin Owens has been targeting Shane McMahon, as well. This gave birth to rumors that Summerslam may host yet another PPV match between them. In that case, Roman Reigns will have to move forward to a new rivalry leaving McMahon story behind on WWE Raw.

Becky Lynch is still the reigning WWE Raw women’s champion following Extreme Rules. She has earned a victory in the mixed tag team match and thereby keeping Lacey Evans away from the title picture. Thereby, we anticipate a new opponent will be in-store for her on tonight’s edition of the flagship show. Could Alexa Bliss be the opponent? Or Sasha Banks may return to the delight of the WWE Universe to challenge her in a matchup. The situation will be quite interesting for the audience as WWE Raw airs, tonight.

AJ Styles took advantage of The Club’s number-games to win the United States Championship for the third time in his career. Gallows and Anderson helped him during the match from the get-go so that Ricochet can’t retain his title. Since it was not a fair match, we doubt whether the rivalry on WWE Raw is over. Rather, these two might receive a rubber match at Summerslam with the US title on the line.
