Charlotte Flair has stolen the spotlight from Becky Lynch on last week’s edition of WWE Raw. Earlier the confirmed Wrestlemania championship match advertised her against Ronda Rousey. However, Mr. McMahon suspended the 2019 Royal Rumble winner for 60 days and named Charlotte the new challenger.
The belief is that it’s just a storyline to garner more sympathy towards Becky Lynch. She will be getting the title match, after all the turmoil that in turn will make her the ultimate hero among the fans. This would be pretty much the same with ‘The Man’ gimmick. Plus, big plans would be in store for her following Wrestlemania.
Reports are out that Becky Lynch might be gearing up for a match against Stephanie McMahon. These two had an altercation in WWE Raw. The authority figure received a beatdown courtesy of the most popular superstar of this time. It earned quite attentions from the crowd hinting that more such segments might follow.
WWE, in fact, has planned a match between the two of them as per the reports from Wrestling Observer. Becky Lynch vs. Stephanie McMahon is a marquee match to sell out a big pay-per-view event. Hence, the company might be eyeing the biggest event of the summer to host this. Here’s more from SportsKeeda.com,
“According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, Becky Lynch and Stephanie McMahon are now expected to go one on one at SummerSlam, which is the first major pay-per-view following WrestleMania which means this storyline could be on-going throughout WrestleMania season.”
There’s no wonder that WWE fans will absolutely love this one match. Stephanie McMahon has put over young talents even before this. She will work as a perfect heel once Wrestlemania gets over to cement Becky Lynch as a universal babyface. This would be quite a rivalry like McMahon-Stone Cold Steve Austin.
For now, Becky Lynch will focus in getting back her Wrestlemania match against Ronda Rousey. She will do anything to take her rightful spotlight at Wrestlemania 35. The current assumption is that she will face Charlotte Flair at Fastlane to claim back the title match. This PPV is set to take place on March 10th.
