One of the main events of WWE TLC will feature Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin. This match will take place under the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs rule. This would also be the main event match from WWE Raw with high stakes attached with it. If Braun Strowman wins the match then he will get a challenge Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble for the Universal Championship. Otherwise, Baron Corbin would become the new GM of the flagship show of WWE.

There have been quite speculations with this match considering the injury of Braun Strowman. He has been dealing with a shattered elbow that forced to undergo a surgery. Doctors performed the same on him on this past Tuesday night. WWE.com confirmed the success of the surgery from Birmingham, Alabama with an official update. However, we received some bad news regarding the monster following this.

As per WrestleVotes, the prime babyface name will not be able to compete at the WWE TLC PPV event. Hence the aforementioned match will not be on the card. WWE officials are considering to come up with a multi-person match to replace this bout. Here’s the update from the source,

“Hearing Braun Strowman may indeed be out past the TLC PPV, and they are preparing to make the TLC match involving Baron Corbin a multi-man contest similar to the 2012 TLC PPV.”

Previous reports suggested that the extent of Strowman’s hiatus can only be diagnosed after the surgery is over. So the doctors might have understood that it will take a longer time to heal his shattered elbow. Hence we received this updates report claiming a multi-person matchup.

IWnerd.com hinted what the potential lineup can be. The easiest way to set up a match would be let Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley joining forces with Baron Corbin. Finn Balor and Elias will be their two-thirds opponents with one more name still to find out.

One similar thing happened during WWE TLC event in 2012. The WWE Champion CM Punk was about to face Ryback in a WWE Championship match. Punk suffered a knee injury and could not compete at the show that led to the Shield’s debut match. They competed against the combined team of Kane, Daniel Bryan, and Ryback. WWE will have to come up with a same multi-person match in case Braun Strowman can’t recover from the injury.
