WWE Rumor: Dean Ambrose To Return To WWE As Jon Moxley
Dean Ambrose wished to get the attention during his time with the WWE that he actually received by announcing his departure from the company. Starting from Royal Rumble 2018 through the entire Wrestlemania season, people asked one thing i.e. whether he is re-signing with WWE or not. Now that the old Jon Moxley character is back, it’s pretty sure that we are not seeing him around the WWE, sooner.
But that is not a bad thing actually as he is up to building the hardcore wrestling persona, yet again that makes the hottest free agent of the entire pro-wrestling business. It’s a tricky question to ask what his next move would be which is uncertain just like his own character. It is significant to mention that WWE will still be in his radar despite the exit in April.
As reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via Cagesideseats.com) that there’s still a bright chance that we will see him back in a limited course. WWE kept on throwing money on him hoping that he’d eventually re-sign with the company. But he did not go by their way. Yet the company gave him an honorary departure that kept the door wide open for a potential return, someday.
Vince McMahon himself was not mad at Dean Ambrose leaving the company. The former champion was headstrong in his decision to leave the company and the creative team hand him a departure that anyone can barely ask for. It indicates that McMahon and his team are pretty confident that the former WWE Champion will indeed make a return soon. Slice Wrestling provided some additional updates on this context.
They revealed that Dean Ambrose will continue playing the role of Jon Moxley in the indie scenes. He will start accepting booking sooner, most probably from June onwards once WWE’s no-compete clause gets over. After spending some time in the indie scenes, he will return in the WWE as Jon Moxley and not Dean Ambrose.
This could indeed be a good idea considering that hardcore like Jon Moxley can do much more thing than Dean Ambrose was capable of. Plus, the audience will show interest in learning the new character of him. This is why speculations are running suggesting that it was WWE who helped with the Jon Moxley promo. Let’s hope the rumors turn out to true and we see the Lunatic Fringe back onboard quite sooner.
