With a number of hiatus on WWE Raw, the officials might be nurturing suitable replacements. They have found is WWE Starrcade was any hint. Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt returned on the WWE Network special show on this past Saturday night. Baron Corbin threw an open challenge that he accepted making the much-anticipated comeback on the WWE programming. The question is whether this return is on a permanent basis.

Alternate plans if Braun Strowman does not compete at TLC

Dave Meltzer gave an update on the situation on The Wrestling Observer. He did not have a proper idea of whether this Starrcade appearance means his return on WWE Raw. But WWE officials could have arranged a backup planning to make up the absence of Braun Strowman. The monster among men is out of action courtesy of his shattered elbow after Baron Corbin hit him with the steel steps.

This has put Strwoaman’s status in jeopardy for the WWE TLC PPV. He is set to take on Baron Corbin in a TLC match with height stakes. So in case, Strowman can’t be fit for the upcoming PPV, Bray Wyatt should be the replacement. This is why the former champion accepted Corbin’s open challenge at Starrcade while making the return.

This already hinted a potential angle between these two on WWE Raw. Furthermore, Bray Wyatt has returned as a babyface figure on the show. If WWE wants him to enter a storyline angle with the acting general manager of the show then he will continue playing this face role on TV. We will get to see whether the much-anticipated return finally happens when WWE Raw airs, tonight.

For now, the source offered the following, (courtesy ringsidenews.com)

“I don’t know if that means he’s going to be back at TV on Monday or not. But perhaps that means they may do an angle on Monday if Strowman can’t wrestle and Bray Wyatt comes back and wrestles Baron Corbin in San Jose, maybe? Who knows? But maybe [Wyatt] will be back on Monday, yeah.”

The last time we witnessed Bray Wyatt was alongside Matt Hardy in a tag team championship. They have a failed attempt as Hardy went back home to recuperate from an injury. This also sidelined the Wyatt leader without any storyline left on WWE Raw.
