The Revival is one of the popular tag teams on WWE Raw division. They have been one of the most promising groups ever since their NXT stint. Their future should have been bright according to many of the wrestling pundits. WWE Raw tag teams also lacked thickness which should be a good reason to give a push to these two guys. Eventually, that never happened even after these two spent over two years on the roster.
Major name from WWE joined All Elite Wrestling
Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are the two members of The Revival who barely got TV time, every week. They were the former WWE NXT tag team champions that entered the main roster following Wrestlemania 33. Since then WWE creative dragged their status to a low level. They are not happy about their status, at all and might have asked for their release from the roster. This is just speculation at this moment as per the reports from the source.
Bodyslam.net was the one to break the rumor on the internet. But Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com reported that he is afraid of Dash and Dawson leaving the WWE. An unfortunate situation broke out on WWE Monday Night Raw on the January 14th edition that took place at the FedEx Forum in Memphis. Following this, the bonafide tag team of the WWE did not want to continue their stint.
Here’s more from the source,
“Fightful.com learned today that several within WWE were fearful that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were finishing up with the company. I’m careful to make sure not to say they outright asked for their releases, as I wasn’t told explicitly that’s what happened. Instead, I was told “has reason to be very fearful that The Revival is done or finishing up with the company” after a situation unfolded at WWE Raw.”
Agreed. Maybe one day. https://t.co/pxJRSadFT0

There are rumors of backstage heat around The Revival following an altercation on the social media. On a recent episode of ‘Being the Elite’, The Elites referred them as one of the best tag teams in the world. They brought out a dream scenario of hosting The Revival Vs. The Young Bucks. Incidentally, Dash and Dawson responded to this, right away. They wished to make the match reality in the near future.
With the arrival of the All Elite Wrestling promotion, the pro-wrestling market has become wide open. Superstars will get alternate choices before signing to the WWE or even after quitting the company. This might be the sole reason why The Revival wants to leave the WWE brand that has not been able to use them properly. At this point, their future seems uncertain to a big extent.
