WWE Rumour: No Title Changing Hands at Extreme Rules PPV Event 1

Seven championships will be on the line at the Extreme Rules PPV event. We call this night as the most extreme night of the year.

Almost each of the matches has some sort of added stipulation with it to make things interesting. The PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will be the host of this final event before Summerslam in August.

The fate of most of the titles present on both Raw and Smackdown Live will get decided during this upcoming PPV. The WWE Championship match is going to be the main event from Smackdown Live. The two mid-card titles from both the brands (the United States and Intercontinental) will also be on the line on this night.

The WWE Smackdown tag team championship should steal the spotlight at Extreme Rules now that Team Hell No is back to compete for it. The Raw tag team champions will also defend their titles. Plus, the women’s championships from both the red and blue brand will be hanging in the balance.

Ronda Rousey will have a ringside view during the Raw division matchup.

But it looks like that she will not be able to make any difference in the match outcome. Cagesideseats.com has come up with an update about the result of the title matches. It suggested no championship will change hands at the Extreme Rules PPV. It is not good news from a creative perspective because things might get stale by all means.

It means we should not expect Rusev to dethrone AJ Styles from his championship reign at the earliest. Instead, he might stretch the feud to Summerslam. Nakamura will also not be able to win the United States Championship from Jeff Hardy at the PPV event. Plus, Asuka will have to digest another consecutive loss at the hands of Carmella.

The predictions are justifiable since Summerslam is coming up. It is the biggest event of the summer where we can expect numerous surprises in-store. It looks like the creative team is setting things up from now for the show to take place in August. So, Extreme Rules will only turn out to be a filler show for the fans.
