It’s a known fact that Vince McMahon considers The Undertaker as the most trusted shoulder within the WWE who worked for him for almost three decades. Whenever downward going TV viewership needed a boost, The Boss didn’t hesitate to bring him back.

With that being said, we won’t be seeing the mythical character outside the WWE, ever as the latest reports suggest that he has signed a 15 year long WWE contract.

Back in August 2019, it was noted that The Undertaker has become a WWE lifer due to the “big-money deal” that he signed with WWE in the early part of the year.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now added that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon signed perhaps the biggest attraction in WWE to a 15-year deal. It happened due to an angry reaction after Undertaker started accepting non-WWE dates, for the first time in his career.

Not much details are available on the contract, but the deal included an agreement that says The Undertaker can’t work any non-WWE signing dates that he started to book in early 2019. This is why he was immediately pulled from the Starrcast II convention, which happened during AEW’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view, in May 2019 even after getting advertised for the weekend.

Vince McMahon was said to be visibly upset when Undertaker confirmed his Starrcast appearance, last year. He even decided to break character to get on social media as Mark Calaway and then started taking bookings outside the McMahon-owned company, as the WWE deal expired.

But the lucrative contract was offered on behalf of WWE only after both the parties decided to bury the hatchet and decided to settle things in a fair manner.

The current long-term deal is not billed as a lifetime contract but it is essentially no less than that as The Undertaker will be almost 70 years old when it expires. The 15 year deal can be considered as one of the biggest contracts in WWE history, if not the biggest. There’s no update on how much he draws through it, yearly. Taker made one last appearance inside the squared circle at the Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36, last month.
