Last night’s edition of Smackdown aired to bring an end to the Wrestlemania week celebrations. WWE hyped up the episode announcing a celebration for the new WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. A dream match took place where the Usos and Hardy Boyz competed. Also, Wrestlemania fallouts were there from the show emanated from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The New Day hit the ring to start the celebration in honor of Kofi Kingston’s WWE Championship win at Wrestlemania. Xavier Woods and Big E thanked the new champ for the moment. The Bar hit the ring complaining that had it not been for them, Seth would have won WWE championship at Raw. They also introduced Drew McIntyre to the ring to set up a six-man tag team main event match.

Another tag team match was the opening contest of Smackdown. The lineup was Aleister Black, Ricochet and Ali vs. Andrade, Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura. Andrade downed Black with a Back Elbow but received a reverse Hurricurana from Ali who also connected with a 450-splash for the win. Randy Orton came out to hit an RKO to Ali whereas Kevin Owens hit a Stunner on Rusev after the match.

R-Truth and Carmella appeared on Smackdown Live about the championship wins of Wrestlemania. Carmella also mentioned how she won the women’s battle royal. Samoa Joe showed up and attacked Truth inside the ring. He locked in the Coquina Clutch and sent a warning to the Smackdown Live locker room. Braun Strowman showed up and confronted him before he escaped the scene.

The new WWE women’s tag team champions the IIconics were out next in the ring. They talked about being fighting champions and invited Brooklyn Belles for a title defense. The champs double teamed on them as Peyton hit a kick to one of their opponents to pick up the win. Paige was watching the match at backstage who promised to bring a new tag team, next week on Smackdown.

Shane McMahon came out on Smackdown to talk about his victory over the Miz at Wrestlemania 35. He called out Craig Hamilton, the ring announcer, to get in the ring and introduce him properly. Craig failed in the first couple of attempts as Shane threatened him. He got it right in the last chance pleasing Shane.

The Usos vs. Hardy Boyz dream match was next on Smackdown. Prior to the match, The Usos cut a promo about proving they are the best tag team in the WWE. Usos missed frog splash from the top rope after which Matt and Jeff hit the Twist of Fate-Swanton Bomb combo to pick up the win. They became new tag team champions only to receive a vicious assault from Lars Sullivan.

The new Raw and Smackdown women’s champion Becky Lynch came down to the ring to an incredible ovation from the crowd. She cut a promo on how she plans to be a strong champion. While leaving the ring, Lacey Evans attacked Becky from the back and leave the champion down with a stiff punch.

The New Day vs. Sheamus, Cesaro and Drew McIntyre in a six-man tag team match was the main event match of this week’s Smackdown. Sheamus was in control until receiving a clothesline from Big E. Kofi Kingston received the hot tag and neutralized Sheamus and Cesaro with high flying moves. He hit the Trouble in Paradise on Sheamus to get the win. A celebration with his family brought the end to the show.
