WWE Smackdown Live Preview (04/12/18)-Contract Signing, Miz TV, Jeff Hardy-Randy Orton
WWE Smackdown is the only relief for the mainstay WWE programming viewers for the last few weeks. Monday Night Raw has become a terribly booked show without no innovative things on the card. The blue brand has managed to keep things fresh on their side as we head towards the WWE TLC PPV. Tonight, we will see a women’s championship contract signing for the event that is the headliner for this week.
Also, multiple segments will be there on tonight’s Smackdown Live. Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton will reignite their rivalry from earlier this year. The tag teams available in the championship picture will compete in a triple threat match. Furthermore, the WWE Champion returns to the show with a special edition of Miz TV. All of these will be there as Smackdown comes live tonight from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.
Smackdown came up with a historic announcement last week confirming the first-ever women’s triple threat TLC match. The three participants of this match will make things official when they meet inside the ring for a contract signing, (courtesy WWE.com)
“SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka will make their historic Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match official tonight on SmackDown LIVE when they sign the contract for the bout. What will happen when these three rivals meet in the squared circle to put their names on the dotted line?”
As you can see, WWE indicated that all hell might break loose during this contract signing segment among them. This session will also help us to understand whether Becky Lynch is in a suitable state to come back to in-ring action. If so, she will get physical with the two contenders for the Smackdown women’s championship.
After one week’s hiatus from the show, Daniel Bryan returns to Smackdown Live. WWE is advertising him to be present on a special edition of the Miz TV. To date, we have seen a babyface Bryan facing a heel Miz. The situation has changed 180 degrees over the past few weeks. It will be interesting to see how Daniel Bryn defends his heel actions on Miz TV as the host of the show has perhaps become a babyface, himself. We want to remind that AJ Styles might miss this week’s show just to dodge a physical confrontation prior to WWE TLC.
Jeff Hardy will reignite his summer rivalry with Randy Orton on Smackdown. He will go one-on-one against The Viper in a marquee match. It might be evident that Samoa Joe will show up to distract Hardy in between the match. This should drag Rey Mysterio out who is getting ambushed by Randy Orton for the last couple of weeks. So we can see a converted tag team match instead.
The Bar will defend their Smackdown tag team championships against The Usos and The New Day at WWE TLC. Tonight, they will collide in a triple threat match. One member each from their groups will participate in this contest. WWE confirmed that the lineup would be Xavier Wood vs. Cesaro vs. Jey Uso. We will find out which one of them bring the momentum for the upcoming PPV to his team.
