Smackdown Preview-Royal Rumble fallouts, Elimination Chamber Buildups

WWE Smackdown Preview (29/01/19) Royal Rumble Fallouts, Elimination Chamber Buildups

Smackdown Live will air tonight with the fallouts waiting from Royal Rumble. We have seen a shocking end to the WWE Championship match on Sunday Night where a returnee cost the challenger’s opportunity. But it left tons of questions to us as to why he would help Daniel Bryan who was his former enemy. We will find out whether this means something big.

We will hear from the Royal Rumble winner Becky Lynch who is eyeing a Wrestlemania spotlight. Also, there will be announcements about the women’s tag team titles match at Elimination Chamber from Smackdown. Additionally, there will be a celebration from Shane McMahon and The Miz for their tag title win. This post-Royal Rumble edition of Smackdown airs from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.

The WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble ended in the most surprising manner. Eric Rowan from the Bludgeon Brothers returned to help his former rival, Daniel Bryan. He delivered a chokeslam on AJ Styles making way for the heel champion to retain his title. Now the question is why on earth he would help Bryan.

We will definitely hear from Rowan which might also drag Harper who is his brother-in-arms. The expectation is that The Bludgeon Brothers will reunite on Smackdown after a long time. They will be stronger than ever with Daniel Bryan potentially forming an ally with them. These three might act as a heel faction going forward on the show.

Asuka retained her Smackdown women’s championship at Royal Rumble defeating Becky Lynch. But the latter has secured her title opportunity at Wrestlemania challenging Ronda Rousey. So for now, she will be out of the title picture on Smackdown. This makes room for another superstar to become the new challenger for the title. It will be interesting to see who is going to be that name.

Also, three women’s teams will get the opportunity to enter the Elimination Chamber capacity. They will fight out for the inaugural tag team titles at the PPV show. The IIconics, Mandy Rose-Sonya Deville and Charlotte-Becky Lynch should be these three teams. There might be qualifying matches on the show just like WWE Raw or they might just pick up the talents as per their choice.

Royal Rumble has crowned two new champions from the Smackdown brand. Shane McMahon-The Miz became new tag team champions whereas Nakamura became new US Champion. The expectation is that both the challengers will continue their quest to regain their titles at the Road to Wrestlemania. So The Bar and Rusev should carry the existing feud forward to Royal Rumble. We expect to see a brawl between The Bar and the tag champs during the announces celebration by McMahon and The Miz.
