Ronda Rousey competing inside the WWE ring is always a bigger attraction for the company. The creative team of the WWE is using the UFC Hall of Famer strategically since the beginning. They do not want to expose more of her in-ring technics unless it’s a PPV match. So it was obvious that she would compete at Summerslam.
This is the second biggest event of the summer where Alexa Bliss will defend her WWE Raw women’s championship. It’s only the fourth match in the WWE career of Ronda Rousey where she got a second opportunity for the title. She might be a legend in the MMA industry but an ‘overhyped rookie’, when it comes to WWE. Alexa Bliss calls her with the same name for months.
This insulted the ‘baddest woman on the planet’ and she tried to vent out frustrations. Her violent actions only handed her a suspension prior to Summerslam. However, she managed to make a brilliant comeback in the past couple of weeks. Ronda Rousey defeated Alicia Fox, current on-screen helper of Alexa Bliss to get momentums for the title match.
She looked all fired-up for this opportunity whereas Alexa Bliss claimed Ronda Rousey is not ready for her. Before the matchup was underway at Summerslam, we saw The Bella Twins at backstage. As per their claims, the two of them were present at the PPV event to celebrate the championship victory of Ronda Rousey. So they were sitting at the ringside.
We received introductions for the champion and the challenger. Natalya was rooting for Ronda Rousey wearing a jacket of her later father from Summerslam 1990. Alexa Bliss quickly bailed at the ringside to slow things down for the match. But she digested a quick right hand to go down.

Alexa Bliss went outside the ring to have a breather. Ronda Rousey invited her into the ring and to punish on her neck! She gave a throw with an arm-drag for a thud. The champion went outside the ring yet again. She hit Ronda Rousey with a big knee.
The contender made quick works to Alexa Bliss with several judo tosses. She gave a Samoan Drop on the mat before locking in the arm-bar. The champ had to surrender to it. Ronda Rousey became the new WWE Raw women’s champion at Summerslam. Natalya and The Bella Twins joined her at ringside to celebrate the win.
