The WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is the biggest babyface of the Raw roster whereas and Randy Orton has transformed into the biggest heel. With these two being considered as the two strongest names from the flagship show, they’re likely to collide at SummerSlam.
McIntyre defeated Bobby Lashley at Backlash to continue his dominant title reign as the WWE Champion, and he’d also defeat Dolph Ziggler at Extreme Rules. Orton has also brought back the Legend Killer gimmick by defeating Edge and Christian.
Previously, McIntyre expressed his wish to face Randy Orton at 2020 SummerSlam, and WWE’s strategic plan around them seems to the same. So McIntyre just could volunteer himself to give Orton a Title shot at SummerSlam and fight for the top spot on RAW.
The duo previously fought each other for a one-off occasion around Royal Rumble, earlier this year. This time around, WWE needs to build a feud between them together to produce a solid main event of SummerSlam.
