The Toronto crowd was on their feet to greet the former WCW legend we know as Goldberg. Dolph Ziggler was not happy about him making a comeback to the biggest event of the summer and went on a rant prior to the match even began. The match at Summerslam started with double super-kicks from Dolph Ziggler towards his opponent who kicked out within the two-count. Goldberg did not take much time to come back hitting a thunderous spear on the Show-off. A Jackhammer followed on Ziggler through which the former WCW franchise picked up the win. Ziggler continued the rant even after the match that led him digesting more spears and Jackhammers that the Summerslam audience loved.
Salary Revealed Of WWE Legend Goldberg For Saudi Arabia Show
Goldberg appeared on this past Monday Night on Raw with a simple message for Dolph Ziggler. He put on the ink on the contract paper kept on the table and uttered “You’re next!” towards the show-off. This ensured that the former WCW franchise player was returning to action at the biggest event of the summer.
WWE set up the match in a very interesting way where Dolph Ziggler took numerous shots towards the WWE legends around the past few weeks. Goldberg was his specific target since his outing at WWE Super ShowDown left a bitter taste on the pro-wrestling universe, (courtesy wwe.com)
“For weeks, Ziggler has been taking verbal jabs at the former WCW Champion amidst his tirades against legendary competitors returning to WWE, which The Showoff sees as taking the spotlight away from him. Goldberg had not been seen since his epic battle with The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in June.”
The speculations were that the Saudi Arabia show might put Goldberg back to retirement after his worst performance in a match. But being a veteran, Goldberg could not wait to come back and prove the world wrong at Summerslam. He did so leaving an emphatic statement to the audience, last night by putting away Dolph Ziggler. This will surely make room for comebacks to compete in some more matches.
