WWE Super Show Down had less number of championship matches on the card. Smackdown had three from their side whereas Raw did not have even a single one. One of them presented by the blue brigade was Smackdown Women’s Championship match. Charlotte Flair challenged Becky Lynch for the title that was a rematch from the Hell in a Cell PPV event.
For the second time in her career, Becky Lynch won the Smackdown women’s championship at the bygone PPV event. She pinned Charlotte Flair fair and square to pick up perhaps the biggest win of her career. This suited her recently transformed heel persona. Over the past few weeks, she beat down Charlotte Flair for multiple occasions.

An amazing part of this feud is that the WWE Universe is supporting Becky Lynch despite her heel gimmick. She stood back in the championship line for a long time before finally reaching the top. A popular superstar like her should have earned the opportunity much earlier. Charlotte Flair did make a valiant comeback before Super Show Down by attacking the champion on this week’s Smackdown.

So she did enter Super Show Down flanked with Flair and momentums by her side. But the crowd seemed backing up Becky Lynch rather than the contender. A ‘let’s go Becky’ chant echoed through the arena as the champion started the match on a strong note. She wanted to lock in the armbar early into the match but could not lock it in fully.
Rather, Charlotte Flair came back giving a slam to Becky Lynch and a drop-kick. This gave some recovery time to The Queen whom Becky wore down. Charlotte then went straight for the Flair chops as the crowd started doing ‘woo’ chants. Charlotte Flair went for the moonsault but Becky Lynch kept her legs up to counter the move.

The champ went to the outside of the ring and grabbed the championship belt. She went to leave the ring but digested a straight-up spear from Charlotte Flair through the table. Charlotte connected with another spear inside the ring. But Becky kicked out of that to remain alive in this match at Super Show Down.
Moments later, Charlotte Flair locked in the Figure Four leglock on Becky Lynch. The victim failed to reach the ropes but grabbed the championship lied in the ring to hit Charlotte Flair with it to retain the title via DQ. Charlotte went for an attack after the match at Super Show Down was over. But Becky Lynch prevailed kicking her head off and delivering a Bexploder into the barricade!
