WWE To Repackage The IIconics Before Their On-Screen Return 1

We have not seen The IIconics around the WWE TV screen for a long time now. The team of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce debuted on the main roster with a lot of potentials that should have converted into strong momentums. But that did not turn out to be the case as the reported plans around them have been scrapped and they ended up being random jobbers.

Update On Shane McMahon’s Current Status With WWE

This obviously raised concerns among the fans of The IIconics especially the Australian fans who were always rooting for the home country lasses. Now a reliable source has assured that both Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are part of WWE roster and will be back, eventually. They have given time-off most probably to come back in new avatars when WWE officials feel that way.

Latest Update On Samoa Joe’s Speculated Suspension By WWE

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter was recently asked about the status of the IIconics in WWE. He said that the officials are holding them back from television, at present. They might possibly be repackaging them to build as a stronger persona upon the comeback. More on this matter should be available in due course, most probably after WrestleMania.

Meanwhile here’s what Meltzer had to say on the IIconics,

“I asked about them a few weeks ago. A decision was made to take them off TV. Maybe repackaging, but the idea was they’d be back.”

There’s no confirmed timespan available when The IIconics would show up again. But they could be looking very different when the next time comes for a TV appearance. A gimmick change is what they desperately need to get portrayed as stronger personas on TV.

It should be noted that The IIconics once held the record for the longest reign with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. In fact, they defeated three other teams to win the gold at last year’s WrestleMania which would be a remarkable moment in their career. But they haven’t done anything since dropping those belts. After digesting a series of losses, both Billie and Peyton were removed from WWE TV.
