Becky Lynch and Carmella delivered a good opener for last night’s Smackdown. It was an unusual way to kick off the show with a verbal confrontation between the two women superstars.

Carmella was the one who was throwing fireballs from her mouth delivering a solid promo. Plus, the return of Charlotte Flair also made the expectations high from the night.

WWE sidelined AJ Styles from last night’s show from a storyline standpoint. Samoa Joe attacked him last week to take the champion out of the equation. Then he followed up with a good promo making the rivalry personal with the WWE Champion. Nobody likes his family’s name to hear from his opponent’s mouth. Joe has done the same to get into the head of Styles, right away.

We have also seen another well-executed beatdown from Randy Orton to Jeff Hardy. He is so effortless when it comes to the heel character. Weeks after weeks, he is proving this by making Hardy his victim. In the meantime, we should also remind Nakamura is also present in this feud, as the United States Champion. It is most likely setting up a three-way title match at the Summerslam PPV.

Daniel Bryan vs The Miz continued to heat up on Smackdown with verbal exchanges. This time around The A-lister mentioned Bryan is a forgotten thing in the WWE amongst the fans. He should rest in his home and let his contract run out. It’s rare that a superstar mentions a real-life thing on TV that garners more footages from the fans. This feud is doing this effectively from the get-go.

The outcome of the Smackdown main event was predictable. There’s a reason why WWE brought Charlotte Flair back on the show just three weeks before Summerslam. They might have doubted the success of the title match between Becky and Carmella. Hence, adding the veteran Flair into the contest was the rightmost decision to save the Summerslam matchup.

Overall, it was a very good effort from the Smackdown Live brand. You can check out the Twitter reactions, below,
