One of the most successful skippers in the cricketing world is MS Dhoni, he has all ICC Titles, along with four Indian Premier League (IPL) trophies. He will be surely looking to take Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to the triumph in IPL 2023 as this could be Dhoni’s last stint for CSK in IPL.

Former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra is unsure about the CSK’s skipper batting form and doubted whether would he be able to replicate his past performances in the 16th edition of IPL.

Chopra shared his thought on MS Dhoni’s batting position for CSK in IPL 16-

The first thing is that this could be the last of Dhoni. So there is a slight emotional connect about how Dhoni and his team will do. Is this the last time we are seeing him on the field with a bat and gloves in hand?”

Where will Dhoni play? During the SA20, RP Singh had asked a question that would Dhoni select himself as a player in the XI? He batted well last year but will it be similar this year as well? You never want to see your legend struggling. So that is one question that is looming large but Dhoni is larger than life,” stated the Ex-Indian cricketer on his YouTube Channel.

MS Dhoni is once again set to lead Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The former India skipper would be looking to make a strong comeback with his team in IPL 2023 after a forgettable campaign last year, where they finished in the second-last position in the points table.

In the last few seasons, Dhoni has shown that he and his team has the potential and mindset to bounce back after any setback. After serving a suspension in 2016 and 2017, CSK went on to win the title in 2018. In 2019, they once again did well but could not win the title as they lost the final.

It was followed by a disappointing campaign in 2020 where they finished 7th in the 8-team competition. MS and CSK, however, bounced back in style in 2021 by winning the IPL for the fourth time. While everything was not well in the last season for CSK, they could not qualify for the playoffs for the second time in 15 years of IPL, and their newly appointed skipper, Ravindra Jadeja had to be replaced in between the season with MS Dhoni.

The four-time champions side, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will start their campaign in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, on the opening day (March 31) with the clash against defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) at Ahmedabad.
