Shocking: Cesc Fabregas Set To Leave Chelsea For London Rivals This Summer

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and will be joining another Premier League club in London, according to reports.

The Spaniard has failed to break into the first team under Italian manager Antonio Conte as he is restricted to just 10 league starts despite his impressive performances from bench on consistent basis. The 29-year old has made 33 appearances for Blues across all competitions and has played hand in 18 goals making him one of the underrated players in the team.

Conte has preferred both Nemenja Matic and N’Golo Kante head of him and the situation looks to remain the same in the upcoming season as well despite Blues set to play in Champions League. Fabreagas, who has managed to reach 100 assists in Premier League earlier this season, has drawn interest from a number of clubs across Europe and Italian giants AC Milan are determined to make a move for the Spaniard.

However, according to Evening Standard, Fabregas is not interested in a move to Italy and is looking to move to another Premier League club in London if he were to leave Chelsea in the summer.

Tottenham are not interested in signing the midfielder while a move back to Emirates looks highly unlikely as Arsene Wenger has plenty of options in central midfield. West Ham United and Crystal Palace are the other options that are available for Fabregas in summer but it remains to be seen whether the clubs can pay his massive wages.

Fabregas exit can make way for Chelsea to bring in more young and exciting midfielders to their roster for next season as AS Monaco’s Timeoue Bakayoko is highly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues are also looking to sign PSG midfielder Marco Verratti as the Italian is highly frustrated with his role at Paris.

But Chelsea’ academy prodigy Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s future looks uncertain as he has been good in the limited chances that were provided by Antonio Conte and a move to another midfielder would surely prompt the young English midfielder to move away from Stamford Bridge.

Marco Verratti’s Agent Hints At Exit As Chelsea Ready To Make Massive Bid

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti could be on a move from French capital this summer amid increasing speculations about his unhappiness over his role at the club. The Italian midfielder’s agent latest comments has further hinted about a potential move in summer transfer window.

The 24-year old midfielder is considered as one of the best young central defensive midfielders in Europe and has drawn interest from a host of clubs including Premier League giants Chelsea alongside German champions Bayern Munich.

Bayern are also determined to get the Italian midfielder in the summer, as Carlo Ancelotti eyes him as a perfect replacement for Xabi Alonso who will be retiring at the end of the season. However, it remains to be seen whether they will meet the massive evaluation of PSG. Meanwhile, agent di Campli was seen in Camp Nou in the recent weeks as Barcelona are also credited with interest.

However, despite all the interest from big clubs, Paris Saint-Germain are determined to keep hold off the Italian for the upcoming season. But agent di Campli has revealed that he will discuss on the future of Verratti in summer before making a decision on a move.

‘I don’t feel like saying anything,’ Donato Di Campli told Premium Sport.

‘A lot of wrong things have been said. I want to leave things calm, PSG aren’t in the happiest moment. We’ll ask for a meeting with the club to discuss Marco’s future.

‘The club has said that Marco won’t leave, so we have to respect the will of the club.

‘We will, however, make a point of the situation after the Coupe de France final.’

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move to Verratti since last summer as the player has worked with Antonio Conte in the national side. Conte is believed to be a huge admirer of the 24-year old and is keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge in the summer in an attempt to strengthen his midfield going into Champions League next season.

However, the Blues will need to break their transfer record fee to land Verratti as he is one of the best midfielders in Europe and will take a lot of money to force a move from PSG in summer.

Pep Guardiola Hits Back At Antonio Conte Over Huge Spending In Transfer Market

Manchester City manager Perp Guardiola looks to have hit back at the comments made by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte as the latter had earlier taken a dig at Manchester City’s transfer policy.

The Italian who is currently leading Chelsea to Premier League title had a gentle jibe at his rival clubs by revealing that the club that spends the more money will not always win.

Conte said: ‘I think this season it’s very important to understand that it’s not always about who spends more money who wins.’

Chelsea are currently are leading the Premier League race as they enjoy a four point cushion ahead of Tottenham Hotspur going final weeks of the league. The Blues have failed to get their desired targets last summer but have managed to add key players like N’Golo Kante from Leicester City and David Luiz from PSG in their £135million spending spree.

Meanwhile, both Manchester clubs have spent well over £150million in the transfer market but are currently fighting for a top four finish. While Manchester United have made world record signing of Paul Pogba, Pep Guardiola have almost went for a massive squad overhaul as City looked completely new this season.

Currently in the fourth position in Premier League, Manchester City are only one point ahead of their cross city rivals Manchester United and Pep Guardiola responded to the comments of Conte by saying: ‘I agree with you. I played with Barcelona and won the Champions League with eight guys growing from the academy.

‘Zero cost to win the Champions League, that’s happened.

‘But all the clubs are going to spend a lot of money and you cannot forget all the players that Chelsea have that cost a lot of money.

‘People think that just City spend money, but all the clubs around the world, in Spain, Germany, England and Italy, they spend a lot of money.

‘This summer it is going to happen again.’

Manchester City will now play against Manchester United in the Manchester derby on Thursday night as the winner will have a more clear chance of finishing in the top four. Guardiola will also be hoping that both Aguero and Silva would be fit for the match after the duo took knocks in their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday in FA Cup semifinal.

Winning EPL Will Be Tough, Says Chelsea Manager Conte

London, April 2 (IANS) Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has warned his team that winning the English Premier League (EPL) will be tough following their loss to Crystal Palace.

Chelsea suffered a 1-2 defeat to Crystal Palace in their EPL tie on Saturday evening. It was only their fourth EPL defeat this season which left them on 69 points from 29 matches.

They still have a seven-point lead over second placed Tottenham Hotspur with nine games to go, but Conte feels that Chelsea cannot afford to ease up on the intensity.

“For sure, for people watching this league, it’s a good result. It makes it more interesting. But I always said that the league only finishes when it is mathematically sure you have won. Otherwise you must play every game to try to win because, I repeat, in England easy games do not exist.

“In every game here, anything can happen because the league is so strong,” Conte was quoted as saying by the Guardian.

Cesc Fabregas put Chelsea in the lead in the fifth minute at the Stamford Bridge Stadium. But Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke scored within two minutes of each other as Crystal Palace led 2-1 after just 11 minutes.

The visitors held on to the lead to earn probably the most memorable victory of their season and leave the home crowd stunned.

Conte praised Crystal Palace for their performance, but was quick to point out that the Chelsea players must move on and focus on the next game against former EPL champions Manchester City.

“We faced a team with strong players, very good players, and they showed they are a good team,” the former Italy international said.

“But we have to think about the next game. If we had won we would have been happy, but now we must focus on Manchester City. We all know the strength of their team. So we must recover and rest, and remember that in England there are no easy games. You could see that today against Crystal Palace,” he added.

“Every game will be very tough from now until the end. Also, if the team is Manchester City or a side fighting in the relegation zone.”

Big News: Barcelona Almost Sold Neymar To Chelsea, But Antonio Conte Blocked The Deal

There is a growing majority who feel Neymar is a Ballon d’Or winner in waiting.

While Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi continue to break records left, right and center, they are likely to extend their dominance of the highest individual honours in the game.

But of the trailing pack, Neymar is arguably leading the way should either Ronaldo or Messi start losing their touch anytime soon.

Therefore it’s understandable why there would be a queue of top clubs around the world interested in signing the Brazilian from his current club Barcelona.

But signing a future a Ballon d’Or winner from a club he is happy at isn’t going to come cheap.Big News: Barcelona Almost Sold Neymar To Chelsea, But Antonio Conte Blocked The Deal 1

And yet an Italian newspaper believes that one team have actually been able to reach a verbal agreement with Barcelona for the services of their talented forward.

Tuttosport, as per The Sun, have reported that current Premier League table-toppers Chelsea have had the opportunity to sign Neymar for a fee thought to be in the region of £155 million – no, we aren’t joking.

The Blues owner Roman Abramovich has somehow been able to convince the Catalan giants to let go of one of their most prized assets.

And yet the deal appears to have already collapsed before it even got properly started.

Why? Antonio Conte.

Yep, remarkably the Chelsea manager is believed to have rejected the chance to sign the 25-year-old.

Apparently, Conte would prefer to trim his squad before making any new major additions and also has doubts whether Neymar would fit into his style of play.Big News: Barcelona Almost Sold Neymar To Chelsea, But Antonio Conte Blocked The Deal 2

It’s true that a disciplinarian such as Conte does require a certain type of player to forge a winning team but you would think he might make an exception for someone as good as Neymar.

A front three of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Neymar would have surely ripped up defenses throughout the Premier League and Europe next season if Conte had granted his approval.

Chelsea fans will just be hoping they aren’t made to rue turning down one of biggest stars in the world right now later down the line.

Diego Costa Admits Eden Hazard Might Leave Chelsea For Real Madrid

Diego Costa insists he would not blame Eden Hazard for leaving Chelsea and joining Real Madrid.

Eden Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks with Zinedine Zidane apparently keen on bringing him to the Bernabeu.

It is claimed Real are prepared to spend big and view Hazard as a possible replacement for James Rodriguez and Isco should they leave.

And Diego Costa has admitted it would be hard for his Chelsea team-mate to turn Real down should they lodge a bid for him.Image result for hazard costa

“I wouldn’t blame Hazard if he joined Real Madrid,” Costa told Spanish radio station Onda Cero following Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup last night.

“He’s f****** amazing. Barcelona or Real Madrid are going to watch him at any time.

“Hazard is happy here but when a team like this knocks at the door you have to think about it.

“He’s a world-class player. It is normal that the Chelsea fans love him and hopefully he will not leave.”

It quickly became clear that Jose Mourinho had told his Manchester United players to be physical with Eden Hazard in last night’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.

The Belgium international was fouled six times and he was the victim of Ander Herrera’s challenge that resulted in the Spaniard receiving a second yellow card after 35 minutes.

But Mourinho’s tactics didn’t prevent Hazard from producing the goods. The 26-year-old had 99 touches of the ball and recorded seven dribbles, each of which sparked fear in United’s defenders.

Hazard has been superb this season, returning to the level he reached two seasons ago when he won the PFA Player of the Year award.

The winger has scored 11 goals in the Premier League this season and was labelled “incredible” by Frank Lampard against United.

Conte’s men will now face Tottenham in the semi-finals of the competition and remain on course to complete a historic Double.

Watch: Jose Mourinho Tries To Hit Antonio Conte With The Ball But Misses!

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea prevailed a crunch tie against FA Cup holders Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the competition at the Stamford Bridge on Monday.,

United, who are unbeaten since the turn of the year, were expected to go head to head with the Blues who are at the top of the table in the Premier League but they were just not able to create enough chances on the night to have a shot at moving into the next round.

The Red Devils started the game in fine fashion, troubling the Chelsea defence constantly but Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera was sent off with almost an hour to play for an accumulation of fouls on Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

The Belgian playmaker was in the mood on the night at the Bridge as he toyed with the United defenders but the visitors were in no mood to take him on and decided to use a physical approach.

However, it went a bit too far and referee Michael Oliver was left with no other choice but to suspend Herrera after he bought Hazard down just second after being warned.

This red card saw Mourinho’s face glow with a grin as he felt hard done by the FA yet again.

The whole game saw tempers fuming all around the ground as Mourinho and Conte were also involved in a clash on the touchline, which needed the fourth official to intervene.

The Manchester United manager was constantly frustrated by the chants from the home side.

The Chelsea fans were signing: Judas”, “You’re not special anymore” and “It’s all your fault”  in reference to his last stint at the Stamford Bridge and though the Portuguese replied showing them three fingers, the number of league titles he gave them, he was growing frustrated as the match went by.

So it does not come as a surprise that he was caught doing something naughty.

Mourinho, who does not have a great relationship with the current Chelsea manager was seen trying to kick a dead ball towards Antonio Conte.

Here is the video:

Mourinho missed, like many of his United players on the night but it is a gesture that can land him in trouble.

The Red Devils might also loose Marcos Rojo for the next 5 domestic games after the defender was seen stamping Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard during this game.

So having crashed out of the competition and also losing a few players, it was just not a day to remember for the Manchester United fans.

Do you think Mourinho deliberately kicked the ball towards Conte?

I Am Still Chelsea’s Best Says Jose Mourinho After FA Cup Defeat To Chelsea At The Stamford Bridge

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United finally crashed out of a tournament as they were beaten by Antonio Conte’s Chelsea side at the Stamford Bridge at the weekend in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The game made for a great neutral viewing until referee Michael Oliver issued a red card for Ander Herrera for repeat offence on winger Eden Hazard.

This reduced the Red Devils to 10 men as Mourinho had to sacrifice Mkhitaryan for Fellaini to add some mettle to the midfield.

They managed to hold on to the 0-0 score line pretty well until French midfielder N Golo Kante popped up with a superb goal from the edge of the box to steal the tie.

As embarrassing as it was for the United players to crash out of the tournament, one Jose Mourinho was humiliated in front of what was his home not so long ago.

Mourinho, who lifted the Premier League title just a couple of years ago, was put to the sword by Conte’s side at the Bridge for the second time this season, and the manager seems to have felt humiliated.

Talking to the press after the game, Mourinho made it a point to tell the fans that he is still the best manager Chelsea have ever had.

During the game, Mourinho was taunted by ‘Judas’ chant which got on to his nerve but he stayed calm and came up with a fitting reply after the end of the game.

Speaking to the media, Mourinho went on to say that his success at the Stamford Bridge is yet to be eclipsed and he will be their best manager till that changes.

“They can call me what they want. Until the moment they have a manager that wins four Premier Leagues for them, I’m the number one.”

“When they have somebody that wins four Premier Leagues for them, I become number two. Until then Judas is number one,” he added.

The Portuguese manager was seen involved in a heated discussion with fans behind him near the dugout as he was caught showing them three fingers, the number of league titles he won for the Stamford Bridge outfit in the past.

However, United, the FA Cup title holders were thrown out of the tournament but Mourinho went on to say that he is proud of the effort that his side put in with just 10 men.

He also revealed that his side’s concentration will now be on the game against FC Rostov just a couple of days later.

“We have a very important match on Thursday and I want to rest a little bit and prepare as best as we can,” he said. “I go very proud of my players very proud of my supporters.”

Antonio Conte Hits Back At Jose Mourinho’s Tactical Criticism

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has hit back at Jose Mourinho after the Manchester United manager said his Chelsea counterpart would lead the Blues to the Premier League title by playing defensive football.

Both the teams are once again set to lock horns in the quarterfinal of the FA Cup and as expected both the managers have begun the mind-games before the crunch clash.

“They defend a lot and well, and they counter-attack and kill opponents on the counter-attack, similar to my Chelsea,” Mourinho said.

“The difference is they play with five at the back and I played four at the back, but it’s the same criteria – a very strong team to defend and a team that kills on the counter-attack. They’re doing very, very well and that’s why they’re going to be champions, easily,” the Portuguese tactician added.

However, Conte does not agree with Mourinho’s claims and said he never prepared his team to rely on counter-attacking style of football.

“I have to tell you one thing. Not only here [at Chelsea] but I never, ever train for the counterattack,” Conte said.

“Never prepare for the counterattack. I think the counterattack is an option, above all, if you have this type of player, players who are very, very fast. Also Costa is a counterattacking man, and Willian and Pedro. It’s normal to have this situation with space, so they know what they can do.

“It’s important to train the other aspects – when we have the ball, when we stay almost always in our opponents’ half, to prepare when we are attacking.
“It’s very difficult to train counterattacking but it’s not my priority,” added the Italian manager.

The former Juventus manager is enjoying a brilliant first season in England as his team is looking destined to win the title season after opening up a huge 10-point lead at the top.

Will Continue Enthusiastic Celebrations, Says Chelsea’s Conte

London, March 12 (IANS) Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has asserted that he will persist with his exuberant celebrations when his team meets Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-finals here on Monday.

Conte was at the centre of a controversy last October when Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho accused him of trying to humiliate him with his over the top celebrations during Chelsea’s 4-0 win.

“I think I’ve shown in my period at Chelsea, but not only here — always, in every team I’ve managed — that I live the game with great passion,” the Chelsea manager was quoted as saying by the Guardian on Friday.

“Sometimes I want to share my enthusiasm with my players, my staff and also the fans. It’s normal. We are not in the same way. But for me the most important thing is to try and win, and then think about another celebration.”

Mourinho has a habit of trying to psyche out his opponents before a game, but Conte asserted he remains focussed with what will happen on the pitch.

“The most important thing is what happens on the pitch. To prepare the team in the right way, with good organisation. This is the most important thing. To talk football. To think about my team, to try through work to improve my players. These are the most important things for me and for every coach,” the former Italy international said.

“My players and I are focused on the game on the pitch, on the work, and to try and improve every day. The mind games, they’re strange, no? It’s strange to ask me this. I’m very focused on the pitch. The mind games don’t help you to win.”

Chelasea are in superb form this season and are currently leading the English Premier League (EPL) table while sixth placed Manchester United are trailing them by 17 points.

But Conte expects a tough challenge when the teams lock horns at the Stamford Bridge Stadium on Monday evening.

“In October, before the game, I was sure we would face a great team. The same now. I think Manchester United, with City, have the best squad in the league. They have a number of great players with great talent and great experience to win. It can be a really tough game, for us and for them,” he said.

“I think that now, for us, it’s better. In October we didn’t know our future. Now we are in March and we stay on top of the table. We have a good identity, a good team. So we are showing good football. But it will be a really tough game against United. We are facing a good team, very strong.”
