Barcelona Board Urges Midfielder To Stay For Next Season

Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez could be on a move from Camp Nou this summer after a difficult season with the European giants.

But the board are keen to make him stay for one more season with the club as they are ready to offer him more opportunities next season, according to reports in Spain.

The 23-year old was bought back by Barcelona after letting him leave to Sevilla in the summer of 2014 on a loan deal before the player moving on a permanent deal to Villarreal in the following summer. He returned back to the club last summer but has failed to make an impact under Luis Enrique.

The departing manager has given him only 12 starts in the entire campaign as he managed a mere 1788 minutes of playing time this season. He has been drawing interest from numerous clubs across Europe which include Valencia, Arsenal, Tottenham, Napoli and Roma.

Spanish media outlet Marca claims that the board are not keen to let the player leave in the summer as they are keen to see if he fits in the new manager’s plans with Luis Enrique leaving the club at the end of the season.

The report also suggests that the club is cautious as they fear too many exits could hamper club’s progress next season. The likes of Arda Turan and Rafinha Alcantara are expected to leave Barca in the summer due to lack of playing time.

The club has also reportedly asked the midfielder to stay and have promised him proper game time to establish time next season under the new manager. Ernesto Valverde is considered favorite to sign as the new boss at the club.

Barcelona is also expected to make some big moves in the summer as they are considering a revamp to their midfield and defence for the coming season. Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho is one of the major targets for Barcelona in the summer and they have also shown interest in signing PSG’s Marco Verratti.

The club are set to compete only for cup later this month as Real Madrid are on the verge of winning their first La Liga title in five years after winning comfortably against Celta Vigo last night.

Marco Verratti’s Agent Hints At Exit As Chelsea Ready To Make Massive Bid

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti could be on a move from French capital this summer amid increasing speculations about his unhappiness over his role at the club. The Italian midfielder’s agent latest comments has further hinted about a potential move in summer transfer window.

The 24-year old midfielder is considered as one of the best young central defensive midfielders in Europe and has drawn interest from a host of clubs including Premier League giants Chelsea alongside German champions Bayern Munich.

Bayern are also determined to get the Italian midfielder in the summer, as Carlo Ancelotti eyes him as a perfect replacement for Xabi Alonso who will be retiring at the end of the season. However, it remains to be seen whether they will meet the massive evaluation of PSG. Meanwhile, agent di Campli was seen in Camp Nou in the recent weeks as Barcelona are also credited with interest.

However, despite all the interest from big clubs, Paris Saint-Germain are determined to keep hold off the Italian for the upcoming season. But agent di Campli has revealed that he will discuss on the future of Verratti in summer before making a decision on a move.

‘I don’t feel like saying anything,’ Donato Di Campli told Premium Sport.

‘A lot of wrong things have been said. I want to leave things calm, PSG aren’t in the happiest moment. We’ll ask for a meeting with the club to discuss Marco’s future.

‘The club has said that Marco won’t leave, so we have to respect the will of the club.

‘We will, however, make a point of the situation after the Coupe de France final.’

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move to Verratti since last summer as the player has worked with Antonio Conte in the national side. Conte is believed to be a huge admirer of the 24-year old and is keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge in the summer in an attempt to strengthen his midfield going into Champions League next season.

However, the Blues will need to break their transfer record fee to land Verratti as he is one of the best midfielders in Europe and will take a lot of money to force a move from PSG in summer.

Blow For European Clubs As Verratti Will Quit PSG For Just One Club

Catalan giants Barcelona are currently in the second place in the La Liga points table, two points behind Real Madrid having played a game more than their rivals.

Though they are in a decent position in the Champions League, they will have to fight out of their skin to win the domestic title and the manager will know that he will need his team to be at their best from now to the end of the season.

Luis Enrique, the manager at the club at the moment, has already revealed that he will quit the club at the end of the season and this will send the Spanish outfit in search of managers at the end of the season.

But they are also busy trying to lure transfer targets to their clubs for a move in the summer and this has seen Barcelona linked with some superstars in recent times.

Out of the many players linked with a move to the Camp Nou recently, Italian midfielder Marco Verratti is one that can transform the whole squad.

Also linked with a move to Manchester United and Chelsea, two teams who are desperate for his signature, the 23-year old is one of the best in the business at the moment and is wanted by the best clubs in the world.

However, it is now understood that he is happy with his situation in France and is not ready for a move anytime soon.

Speaking to the media recently, the midfielder revealed that he is enjoying life in Paris and that he is not looking for any new challenges at the moment.

“I’m happy in Paris, it’s a great project and I’ll still be there next season,” he told RaiSport following the game, ending all speculations of a move in the summer.

He also went on to reveal that there is only one club that can lure him from PSG.

The biggest club in Italy at the moment, Juventus is the only club that attracts him, he revealed.

‘Italy has a great league. Two teams like Inter and Milan, or Juventus, are capable of spending. We have seen that with Higuain,’ Verratti told Sport.

‘Juventus are one of the four best teams in the world. They have progressed a lot. If in the future I leave PSG, I would not have any problem in going to this club, but today I am good where I am,’ he added.

This should end any interests from clubs around Europe.

Juventus Join The Race To Sign Barcelona Target Marco Verratti

European giants Barcelona and Juventus are hoping to convince Marco Verratti that his future lies away from the Parc de Princes this summer.

Earlier in the season, Marco Verratti had suggested his future with Paris Saint-Germain could be in doubt, and after PSG’s Champions League collapse at the hands of Barcelona, it may not be too far away.

Now, according to Corriere Dello Sport, via  Football Italia, the Italian playmaker is open to leaving the Parisian side once again, although the club are refusing to sell.

The Report states that currently Barcelona and Juventus are pushing hardest to sign him, but the Chinese-backed Inter Milan and German giants Bayern Munich are also interested.

It is understood that the Blaugrana view Verratti as the man to replace Catalan legend Andres Iniesta, who is now 32.

Juventus president Giuseppe Marotta is said to view Verratti as his ‘midfield Gonzalo Higuain’, indicating he is willing to spend big to land his man. The PSG midfielder is a childhood supporter of the Old Lady, and would surely find it difficult to turn down a move to Turin.

Juventus have been without a true heir to Andrea Pirlo since he left for the MLS in 2015, and Verratti would fill that gap seamlessly. Nonetheless, the lure of Barcelona and the vast resources available in Catalunya would be a huge draw for any footballer.

Premier League leaders Chelsea have also been linked with Verratti. Antonio Conte is understood to be a fan from their time together with the Italian national team.

However, whether the chance to reunite with Conte would trump the offers the talented pass master will receive from Italy and Spain is unlikely.

Shocking: Juventus Eye Double Swoop For Alexis Sanchez And PSG’s Verrattti

Italian champions Juventus are eyeing a sensational double swoop for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and PSG star midfielder Marco Verratti in the summer, according to reports in Italy.

AC Milan are reportedly interested to make a big money move for Sanchez in the summer as the Chilean’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2018. However, champions Juventus are confident of luring the 28-year old to Turin ahead of their rivals.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim Alexis Sanchez is one of the two major signings that the Old Lady are planning this summer as they look to increase their quality to enhance their chances of winning Champions League.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is a huge admirer of Arsenal star and is keen to take Sanchez back to Serie A as the Chilean have been disappointed with the string of results and Arsenal could even drop out of the top four this season as they are one of the teams with low confidence with their recent performances.

Arsenal will have to tie down Sanchez to a new contract which is looking beyond possibility as months of negotiations with both Ozil and Sanchez yielded nothing as they continue the talks.

However, Juventus are not just concentrating on Sanchez alone as the record champions are also ready to land PSG star midfielder Marco Verratti who has become one of the best holding midfielders in Europe.

The Italian international have drawn interest from a host of clubs across Europe including the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the past. A move back to country would be good for the young midfielder and Juventus are eyeing to make a potential deal for Verratti who could improve their midfield tremendously.

The increasing financial might of Juventus will help them land Verratti as the club are confident of meeting his huge wage demands that PSG are currently paying him.

Huge: Chelsea To Start Negotiations For £68.2m Transfer deal After Latest Development

Paris Saint-Germain have put a €80 million (£68.2m) price tag on Marco Verratti with Juventus and Chelsea competing to sign the midfielder.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim that the Serie A champions are ready to make the 24-year-old their marquee signing and are willing to pay the £68.2m PSG are asking for.

Earlier this week, Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta confirmed that the Serie A champions will be in the market for a world-class midfielder next summer.

“In midfield we have some interesting young Italians, and we’re looking for a top player in that role who will be available for next season,” he said.

Last month, reports claimed Antonio Conte had made the signing of Verratti his priority, while Chelsea were confident of landing the Italy international for under £40m.

But a deal for Verratti in the summer window will be difficult for both Juventus and Chelsea as the midfielder’s current contract expires in 2021.

Since Zlatan Ibrahimovic left PSG for Manchester United on a free transfer last summer, Verratti has become the capital club’s most important player on and off the pitch.

Although he’s spent the majority of this season recovering from a groyne surgery suffered in mid-2016, the Azzurri star is now starting to rediscover his brilliant best form.

If Verratti does try to force a move away from Paris at the end of this campaign, he might have little to base his argument on.

Throwing a potential poor season in PSG’s face will not necessarily earn his departure when his struggle to recapture his best form has been one of many contributing factors towards a forgettable first half of the term.

Despite a poor start to the season by all accounts, not to mention the notable departure of the previously talismanic Ibrahimovic, the Ligue 1 giants remain a talented side with the potential to play much, much better than they have been under coach Unai Emery so far.

If key footballers like Verratti and the woefully out of sorts Angel Di Maria can start to hit their stride in the second half of the campaign, PSG will immediately improve and show they are still a club worthy of a player as talented as the former Pescara man.

Conte Prepared to Offer PSG Star Midfielder As Part-Deal For Top Transfer Target

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea have made a pretty solid start to the season, losing just two games in 11, standing in the 3rd place in the points table going into the international break.

The manager has found a winning formula early this season, shifting to a 3-man defense and has now stitched a run of 5 victories moving up the table. They also managed to keep clean sheets in all their victories and are looking like one of the most dangerous teams in the league at the moment.

The manager added some quality to the squad in the summer and spent some big money and is willing to spend against in January to add some cover to first team players. He is also set to let a number of players leave the club and one such player who is in the last few months of his Chelsea career is Cesc Fabregas.

The world cup winning Spanish midfielder is one of the most decorated players in the world of football at the moment. In his time at Arsenal and Barcelona, Fabregas has won almost everything in the top flight and almost repeated it with Chelsea since his move back to England back in 2014.

He helped them to a Premier League title in his first season at the club but has ever since failed to find some form, making him lose his place in the starting XI.

At 29, Fabregas still has a lot to offer for the side but Conte, who has given him a few chances, is convinced that he cannot play a role in his side and is adamant to ship him away.

Conte tried to offload the Spaniard in the summer transfer window but the lack of clubs willing to pay his wages saw Fabregas stay at the club. The manager was also ready to offer him as a part of a deal for another player but the Spaniard stayed back at the club after the deadline day.

However, Conte is not impressed enough in these few months and is yet again plotting to send Fabregas away from Chelsea.

According to recent reports, Chelsea are desperate to sign PSG midfielder Marco Verratti and are now ready to offer the Spanish midfielder + €50m for his services in January.

Juventus and AC Milan are also interested in his signature but Conte is determined to land the player after the turn of the year.

The Italian has been a decent player for PSG over the years and will be a great addition to the midfield for Chelsea alongside N Golo Kante who is in top form.

He is a likely replacement for Fabregas himself and will help Chelsea for years to come.

Do you think offering Fabregas for Verratti is the right move from Conte?

Midfielder Verratti Not Thinking About Leaving PSG

Paris, Nov 11 (IANS) Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has said he does not think about signing for Real Madrid or any other big club as he feels like part of family at the French football club.

Verratti admitted at a press conference on Thursday that he feels grateful to have a lot of clubs interested in him, but underlined that his goal is winning the Champions League with PSG, reports on Thursday.

He also added that it’s not the time to talk about the transfer market and that he has no intention of leaving Paris because he is very happy in the French capital.

When asked about the reasons why he does not think about Real Madrid, Verratti considered that in PSG he feels as part of a family and a project that began five years ago with other team-mates whom he wants to win titles with.

The Italian midfielder denied that his value could approach 100 million euros ($109 million), noting that no player should be worth that kind of money.

Conte wants Marco Veratti at the Bridge

With the January transfer market nearing, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte would be looking to add attacking flair to his side. His side has been playing some scintillating football which sees them enjoy the second position in the league table from after 11 games.

Blue’s boss Antonio Conte is open to offers for Cesc Fabregas who has failed to impress the manager and has spent most of his time on the bench since Conte has arrived. Conte is also open to offers for long-serving Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel who has not made many appearances under Conte and it clearly seems he is not a fit into Conte’s future plans.

Chelsea are eyeing some big names this winter one of which is Paris St. Germain’s Marco Veratti. The versatile youngster has impressed highly in the navy blue outfit and Conte is keen to land him at Stamford Bridge. The signing of the midfielder could see Chelsea strengthen their midfield further with the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Matic and Kante already in the team. Much to the joy of Conte, Veratti’s agent has revealed that the player is open for a new move as he wants to win something ‘important’. Looking at the kind of form Chelsea are in, Stamford Bridge could be the right place for the Italian.

Chelsea next faces Middlesbrough and then Tottenham in their English Premier League fixtures. They do not have any European fixtures this year which is proving out to be an advantage for the London club. The club is playing dominating football and has earned 25 points from their 11 games. They have not conceded a single goal since switching to their new formation of 3-4-3. It’s quite breathtaking to see how quickly Chelsea has adapted to their manager’s tactics and are performing at the highest level.

PSG’s Verratti praises Cavani, coach Unai Emery

Paris, Oct 20 (IANS) French football champions Paris Saint-Germain’s midfielder Marco Verratti has praised his team-mate Edison Cavani and also showed support for head coach Unai Emery.

In an interview with newspaper Le Figaro on Wednesday, Verratti said, “Great players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic have left but they have been replaced. I am particularly thinking of Cavani, who has found his place. In previous years, he was not playing in his true position. He is a player who scores goal after goal. We can count on him,” reports Efe.

Verratti, 23, admitted that he misses Ibrahimovic, who left for England’s Manchester United after last season.

On coach Emery, who assumed responsibility of the team recently, Verratti said that the Spanish coach is working non-stop on every detail for the benefit of the team.

He added the difference between Emery and his predecessor Laurent Blanc, is that the Spaniard directs his players to retrieve the ball more quickly.

Verratti hoped that PSG could win the Champions League before he leaves the French club.

PSG defeated Swiss side FC Basel 3-0 on Wednesday in round three of the Champions League group stage.
