ToggleBefore heading into this week’s episode of Raw, Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Title at a WWE Live Event that took place in White Plains. This was the first time that the reigning champion put his newly won title at a show. Being a non-televised house show, the title obviously didn’t change hands.
As noted above, Seth Rollins captured the newly introduced WWE World Heavyweight Championship, last week at WWE Night of Champions in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In a 12-man tournament, The Visionary outlasted Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest in the first round, and then Finn Balor in the semi-finals before finally defeating AJ Styles in the finals in Saudi Arabia to pick up the title.
Seth Rollins defeated The Miz in World Title Match
At last night’s WWE Live Event in White Plains, New York, Rollins went through his first defense as World Heavyweight Champion. In the main event match of the house show, Rollins easily retained his title against The Miz. He also cut a post-match promo to send the crowd, home on a happy note.
As announced by the WWE, Seth Rollins will be on Raw, tomorrow night when he puts the World Heavyweight Championship on the line in another main event match against Damian Priest. This will be his Rollins’ first title defense as World Heavyweight Champion on live television.

Last night’s WWE Live Event in White Plains marked WWE’s first in years. In the opening match of the show, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated the Viking Raiders to retain their titles. Then in a rematch from Night of Champions, Rhea Ripley retained the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Natalya.
Also at WWE Live Event in White Plains, United States Champion Austin Theory retained his title against Sheamus while GUNTHER continued with his dominant Intercontinental Championship reign in a multi-person match against Matt Riddle, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Damian Priest.
In non-title bouts, Cody Rhodes defeated Finn Balor in a Street Fight at WWE Live Event in White Plains while Bianca Belair from Smackdown and Becky Lynch from Raw teamed up to defeat Damage CTRL’s Bayley and IYO SKY.
