Both being injury-prone
In the case of Del Rio, age is a factor, indeed. He is 37 now making him an injury-prone. Last year, during the League of Nations start-up, he got injured. The same thing happened this year at the Money in the Bank briefcase match. And, of course, there’s Del Rio’s botch-mania. As for Paige, the internet suggests that she is trying to heal from a neck injury much similar to Daniel Bryan. If that’s the case, then WWE wanted to simply get rid of the two for good measures.
