Decrement in star value
It’s true that Del Rio is the most technically gifted athlete and a 4-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He made a spectacular return last year at the Hell in a Cell PPV winning the US championship from John Cena. On the other hand, Paige is the youngest Divas champion in the WWE history who won the championship on her first night in the main roster. Moreover, she was the first and only one to hold the NXT and the Divas championship in 2014. But, since then they have only slipped down in the WWE food chain. Del Rio is outdated in the new era of the WWE whereas Paige lost her space to the newly emerged Women from NXT. So, should consider the suspension as WWE’s own way of showing the doors?
