ToggleHeading into AEW All In 2023, Hikaru Shida remains one of the top wrestlers in the AEW women’s division who also just happens to be the women’s champion. Being one of the most talented female pro wrestlers in the world, right now, she deserves the title by her side more than anybody but that doesn’t save the title reign from getting into jeopardy.
For those who don’t remember, Shida was the inaugural AEW Women’s Champion for well over a year after beating Nyla Rose for the title at Double or Nothing 2020. Then she became the AEW Women’s Champion again for the second time during the 200th episode of AEW Dynamite by defeating Toni Storm. Just a few weeks down the road, this championship run is likely ending, sooner than later.

AEW All In 2023: Favorite revealed to become women’s champion
As announced earlier for AEW All In 2023, Shida is scheduled to be defending the title against Saraya, Toni Storm, and Britt Baker in a fatal-four-way match. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Saraya, Toni Storm or Britt Baker have a better chance of winning the title than Shida’s title retention.
AEW All In 2023: Rumor Killer On Surprise Appearance By Legendary WWE Superstar
Baker winning the championship is heavily favored at AEW All In 2023 as she was the first female wrestler signed to the company and hasn’t been in the championship picture for a while. While the AEW fanbase will be happy with the win, UK fans will be happy with Saraya getting the win. But the risk of injury lowered her chances in her favor. Even, Toni Storm spent a lot of time in the UK circuit which keeps the chances alive for her to become a three-time women’s champion in the AEW.
That being said, Hikaru Shida’s chances of walking out of AEW All In 2023 as still the champion have been narrowed. Saraya has been very vocal about taking all the championships home at the PPV scheduled in his home country but AEW may keep her out of the equation due to her irregular wrestling schedule.
