With less than four weeks remaining for the AEW All In 2023 pay-per-view, the main event match for the grand show has now been booked. The scenario will revolve around the AEW World Heavyweight Championship where the reigning champion surprisingly handed a title match opportunity to his current challenger cum best friend.

In a promo session on Dynamite, AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF thanked Adam Cole for teaching him the good things in life and that no one lives a good life without friends. Hence, he felt privileged to call out his best friend Adam Cole to the ring. MJF then got to thank Cole, in person for disclosing the gentler side of himself on their path to winning the AEW Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament.

AEW All In 2023: MJF offered a world title match opportunity to Adam Cole

Proceeding in the segment, MJF declared that he wants to fulfill Cole’s earlier demand and that’s to challenge him for the title. He pulled out a contract for the MJF vs. Adam Cole matchup for the AEW World Championship at the AEW All 2023 In PPV set from the United Kingdom. The two eventually put their signatures and hugged it out to make the match, official.

After the segment, MJF vs. Cole was officially announced for AEW All In 2023 which is also the first match announced for the global PPV event. Furthermore, the AEW commentators also called this match the Main Event of the upcoming show. Amid all the scene that was unfolding on TV, Cole’s former buddy Roderick Strong wasn’t happy, at all as he followed the entire segment from backstage.

Strong was then shown fuming over how close MJF and Cole have become in recent times. Also, Cole’s former friends from ROH and NJPW, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett of The Kingdom taunted Strong over the fact to make him go irate. Taven also told Strong that Cole has forgotten who his friends were after getting a title match opportunity at AEW All In 2023.

As noted above, this title bout is the first one to be announced for AEW All In 2023 which is scheduled for Sunday, August 27 from the Wembley Stadium in London, England. This is going to be the biggest event in the history of All Elite Wrestling with 75000+ fans expected to be in attendance.
