All Elite Wrestling will expand its capacity to host bigger events in bigger venues with AEW All In 2023, later this year. They’re set to take on the biggest challenge yet to sell out a stadium show when they finally run from the famous Wembley Stadium this August in London, England.
Tony Khan is yet to confirm the exact capacity for AEW All In 2023 but this one should become the biggest AEW show from an international stadium. That being said, the need of hosting multiple bigger matches is being felt.
AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023: CM Punk To Feature In A Dream Match?
One of the key aspects of AEW All In 2023 will be the fact that AEW superstars will finally get the chance to perform in front of the thunderous UK crowd. Saraya, being a billed name from the UK, is thrilled to compete in front of a home crowd at such a huge-scale show. Speaking with Uproxx in an interview, the trailblazer seemed particularly excited about the opportunity,
“I haven’t performed in the UK in years. And then to be on one of the biggest stages you can get over there, Wembley Stadium, it’s just a very wild opportunity. It does have that WrestleMania 1 vibe where this is something really special. I feel so fortunate that I get to be a part of history.”
Saraya wants to face former Sasha Banks at AEW All In 2023
The interview then proceeded to ask Saraya about possibly picking her opponents for AEW All In 2023. When asked about who she might want to dance in the ring at Wembley, the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion named two fellow wrestlers who she had previous experiences to work with, one being former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks, who has now become Mercedes Mone after joining NJPW,
“I would love to face Jamie Hayter. That would be amazing because she’s also from the UK — I’ve had the opportunity to be in a tag and triple threat, but not a singles match, and I would love that opportunity. Do we open that Forbidden Door? Mercedes Moné, I would love to face her there. That would be such a full-circle moment. There’s so much opportunity there.”
Saraya mentioning Sasha Banks as her potential AEW All In 2023 opponent presents a dream scenario for wrestling fans. The latter’s kick to Saraya’s back caused her to get sidelined from the action with an injury in 2017.
Since then, Saraya wanted to go back to the ring with the former six-time Women’s Champion in the WWE especially after the latter left the WWE. In fact, the two might just haven’t had to wait until AEW All In 2023 as the AEW-NJPW collaboration Forbidden Door is also waiting in June, later this month.
