Amid all recent returns by old-school legends, one more could be in store at AEW All Out 2023 and that should be confirmed during this week’s episode of Collision. One of the greatest high-flyers of all time, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat will be called out for a match, this Saturday night, and time will tell how he opts to respond.

Given that he’s 70 years old, it’s hard to believe that Steamboat will actually be competing in a match but then he did feature in action for Big Time Wrestling promotion’s show in Raleigh, North Carolina on November 27th, 2022. So, it’s safe to assume that he’s still in shape to compete at AEW All Out 2023.

The storyline for this speculated match between the two names started earlier this month on an episode of Collision where Steamboat officiated a “Real” AEW World Championship match between CM Punk and Ricky Starks. After Punk retained his belt, Starks attacked Steamboat to get suspended.

However, his suspension is coming to an end before AEW All Out 2023 and on that note, AEW President Tony Khan has announced that Ricky Starks will challenge Ricky Steamboat to a Strap match on this Saturday’s episode of Collision for the very next day’s PPV event.

There’s no update on whether Steamboat will be there on Collision or if he will indeed accept the challenger laid out by Starks. Rumors have it that Steamboat might just choose to bring out somebody else to represent him in his match against Starks at AEW All Out 2023 since a singles contest for him is unimaginable at the age of 70.

Previously, Steamboat teamed up with current AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR in a six-man Tag Team match to defeat Jay Lethal, Brock Anderson, and Nick Aldis for Big Tim Wrestling and returned to his retirement life. We have to wait for a couple of days to know if he’s willing to announce a return to action at AEW All Out 2023.
