AEW Battle of the Belts has become a quarterly tradition for the professional wrestling company over the course of one year. Starting with this year onwards, AEW has hosted four such shows that primarily deal with the championship matches and one such event, the fifth iteration of the event will go down at the very beginning of next year.
Some of the details regarding AEW Battle of the Belts V have been revealed during AEW Dynamite, last night including the date and venue of the show. Excalibur informed that the said TV special will take place in Portland, Oregon, on January 6, 2023. The said event will also be AEW’s first event in Oregon, as well.

The Veterans Memorial Coliseum will host AEW Battle of the Belts V. Like the prior editions of the event, AEW Rampage will take place at the same arena before tapings for the title-oriented shows begin. AEW’s official website has the start time listed for the event as 6 PM PT. Tickets for the same will go on sale on November 11, 2022.

AEW Battle of the Belts being revived in early 2023
The fourth edition of the AEW Battle of the Belts TV special was presented at the beginning of the fourth quarter of this year that’s on October 7, 2022. The company hosted the TBS, All-Atlantic, and ROH World Tag Team Championship matches on that night.
Now, we’re confirmed about yet another AEW Battle of the Belts special, next year. It’s expected that AEW will announce matches for this event in the coming weeks. Ratings for this particular show have been incredibly low but still the company decided to revive things for next time around. There’s no update on whether the show will go down in a live format or not.

– AEW Trios Champion Pac (c) defeated Trent Beretta to retain the AEW All-Atlantic Championship
– ROH World Champion Chris Jericho sent a message to Bryan Danielson ahead of their Title match on Dynamite.
– Jade Cargill (c) defeated Willow Nightingale to retain the TBS Women’s Championship. After the match, Nyla Rose stole the TBS Title.
– IWGP & AAA Tag Team Champions FTR (c) defeated Gates of Agony to retain the ROH Tag Team Championship in the main event
After the match, The Embassy beat down FTR, but TNT Champion Wardlow & ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe made the save.
