The loaded weekend for pro-wrestling fans will continue when AEW Battle of the Belts 7 airs, tonight shortly after AEW Collision. Despite the falling numbers of this particular show which mainly deals with title matches, AEW continued to keep it around. Now just a night before the happening, two major title matches have been announced for the show.
As announced during the latest episode of Rampage, Toni Storm will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Taya Valkyrie at AEW Battle of the Belts 7 while Orange Cassidy will defend the AEW International Championship against “The Murderhawk” Lance Archer.

The title match for Storm was set up after she and fellow Outcast member Saraya confronted Valkyrie after a squash match on Rampage. Valkyrie laid out the challenge and it was accepted by the two-time champion. Storm won the women’s title at Double or Nothing and successfully defended it against Skye Blue. Hence, AEW Battle of the Belts 7 will witness her second championship defense.

AEW Battle of the Belts 7: International Championship Match announced
Meanwhile, Orange Cassidy got booked in his next title defense after Archer beat down Trent Beretta in his in-ring return. Cassidy ran out to make the save but he was quickly taken out. Jake “The Snake” Roberts then spilled out that Archer has a championship intention challenge for Cassidy. Archer and Roberts then also stole Cassidy’s International Championship belt to increase the bad blood before the title match at AEW Battle of the Belts 7.
The other championship match announced for AEW Battle of the Belts 7 before Friday night was Luchasaurus, with Christian Cage, defending the TNT Championship against Shawn Spears. With only three matches confirmed, it makes sense that some last-minute segments or matches could be added to the show.
Just before Before AEW Battle of the Belts 7, there will be another championship match on AEW Collision where AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR will defend against “Switchblade” Jay White and “Rock Hard” Juice Robinson of Bullet Club Gold in two-out-of-three falls match. Plus, both the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament finals will go down on collision. On the men’s side, CM Punk will face “Absolute” Ricky Starks while on the women’s side, Willow Nightingale will face Ruby Soho.
