AEW Dynamite 200th episode has quite a shocker in store for its fanbase that took them back to the good old ECW days for a moment. Not only two ECW veterans were present on the scene but also a challenge was laid down for the FTW Title that has its roots in the now-extinct company.
Since stealing the FTW Title from HOOK, Jack Perry has turned into a heel character and he’s also been targeting the past that Extreme Championship Wrestling has. Over on AEW Dynamite, he was confronted by Jerry Lynn in a scheduled segment that indicated possibly hosting a match between the two of them. However, Lynn clarified that he’s not cleared to compete in a wrestling match. So, he rather invited an old friend to replace him.

While speaking to Renee Paquette backstage, RVD also said he might retire the FTW Title after winning it next week on AEW Dynamite. For those who are unaware, the FTW Title is a pendant of ECW which was previously taken over by WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon.
