The man behind the ongoing QTV vignettes has been revealed to be QT Marshall on this week’s AEW Dynamite. The returnee also ended up helping his ally Powerhouse Hobbs to start his maiden title reign in AEW and thereby keep the promise true from Revolution 2023 of ending the former champion’s title reign at the earliest.

Powerhouse Hobbs won the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match a couple of weeks ago to secure an opportunity to the AEW TNT Championship. Then at Revolution PPV, this past Sunday night, Wardlow defeated ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe to win the title. Soon after his title, it was announced that he will have to defend against Hobbs on the March 8 episode of AEW Dynamite.

As seen in the main event of the episode that aired from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Wardlow to become the new TNT Champion. Wardlow requested the AEW officials to add the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation to the match which was granted.

As the fight spilled to the backstage area, Wardlow positioned Hobbs for a Powerbomb Symphony near the commentary booth. It was then that Marshall returned on AEW Dynamite and struck Mr. Mayhem with a chair shot, saving Hobbs from a devastating powerbomb as well as loss.

Thereafter, Marshall and Hobbs worked in tandem to powerbomb Wardlow onto a platform off the stage after Marshall also low-blowed the former champion. As a result, Wardlow was unable to answer the referee’s 10 counts, allowing Hobbs to win the Falls Count Anywhere Match and become the new champion.

Hobbs has now become the ninth AEW wrestler to hold the AEW TNT Championship on AEW Dynamite, following the likes of Cody Rhodes (3x), Brodie Lee, Darby Allin (2x), Miro, Sammy Guevara (3x), Scorpio Sky (2x), Wardlow (2x) and Samoa Joe (2x). Allin holds the record of being the longest-reigning champion as he held the championship for 186 days between November 2020 and May 2021.

As for Wardlow, his second TNT Title reign lasted for just three days. The new champion Hobbs is likely to have already started an alliance with QT Marshall who already leads The Factory comprising Aaron Solo, Cole Karter, Lee Johnson, and Nick Comoroto.
