AEW Dynamite often uses blood elements in their programming to bring out the non-PG aspect of wrestling. One of those occasional traditions has been the Blood & Guts match which the fans like to a big extent and that match, filled with hardcore spots, is coming back sooner than later.
During AEW Dynamite latest edition, The Blackpool Combat Club pounced on The Elite after their win over the Dark Order. Adam Hangman Page was busted open during this beatdown. BCC member Jon Moxley then grabbed the microphone and he made his intentions very clear of competing in the Blood & Guts match.

On July 19, AEW Dynamite will debut in Boston’s TD Garden. On that night, The Blackpool Combat Club will compete against The Elite in a Blood & Guts match in the main event. With a double-ring cage set-up, this bout is expected to produce a lot of blood-filled spots.

AEW Dynamite: Owen Hart Cup match postponed due to injury
There’s time to come for this hardcore matchup while a couple of matches for the very next episode of AEW Dynamite have also been announced. Next week, an Owen Hart Cup semifinal match will go down that was originally supposed to take place, last night.
AEW President Tony Khan announced on Twitter, heading into the June 28 episode of AEW Dynamite that the scheduled Owen Hart Cup quarterfinal match between Britt Baker and Ruby Soho has been postponed until next week due to Baker dealing with an undisclosed sickness.
Interestingly, Baker’s boyfriend Adam Cole was also pulled from the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door over this past weekend due to an undisclosed illness. Now it appears that he alongside his girlfriend is also dealing with the effect and they couldn’t make it to AEW TV programming, this week. Cole was promoted to have a match against Tom Lawlor at Forbidden Door. However, Lawlor couldn’t make his AEW debut due to Cole’s illness and he rather wrestled in a dark match against Serpentico.

In more news for next week’s AEW Dynamite, a random tag team match has been announced where Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland will compete against Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin. The July 5 episode of the AEW’s flagship program will take place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
