There’s a dominant faction on AEW programming in the name of The Outcasts and Britt Baker could possibly relate to them despite the animosity. The members of the faction – Saraya, Ruby Soho, and Toni Storm are all former WWE Superstars who had to re-establish themselves upon arriving at the WWE.
On the flip side, someone like Britt Baker is considered to be one of the pillar figures of All Elite Wrestling who started building the company from the very beginning. However, possessing a different career and still being willing to become a wrestler with all her heart made her an outcast in the initial days and people did take a jab at her for choosing dual career goals.

AEW wrestler Britt Baker was criticized for choosing a dual career
Being a former AEW Women’s Champion, Britt Baker has accomplished a lot in her career, so far which also earned her a lot of fanbase in and outside the AEW. However, she couldn’t escape criticism for choosing both the wrestling and dental fields rather than focusing on only one single field. This is what she had to say while speaking in an interview with WhatCulture,
“You don’t have to stay in one lane and commit. We got merging lanes! I got [criticism] from both sides. In professional wrestling, it was weird that I was a dental student, that I wasn’t just professional wrestling only and living, eating, sleeping, breathing wrestling.
But also in dental school, I was the weirdo, I was ‘the outcast’ because I wasn’t just doing dentistry and sleeping in a library, so I really got it from both sides, but it kept me stubborn and headstrong.”
AEW Dynamite: New Championship Match Announced For June 7 Episode
Speaking of the Outcasts, Britt Baker was one of the main reasons that the term came into play on AEW programming. Saraya fka Paige in WWE came up with the term as she got involved in a feud with the former champion in AEW after arriving at the company last summer. That feud continues as Baker has allies by her side in the form of Jamie Hayter and Hikaru Shida against The Outcasts.
Britt Baker was one of the first signees for All Elite Wrestling when the company was founded in 2019. She was also part of the All In 2018 event which was the sole reason behind the company getting furbished by Tony Khan. Working on Wednesday’s AEW taping hasn’t always been that easy for her as she had to fly into different cities from her dental duties. But all these obstacles didn’t hinder her from carrying the load.
