It’s been more than a year since Jade Cargill won the TBS Champion on an episode of AEW Dynamite but her title run is still going strong. Last night, she had not only successfully defeated her former The Baddies stablemate with authority but also reached an incredible landmark in her career.
Jade Cargill put her TBS Championship on the line against one of the former Baddies, Red Velvet during AEW Dynamite. Coming for vengeance, Velvet did take the champion to her limits but it simply wasn’t enough to put down the champion. Ultimately, she failed to take out the bigger and more powerful Jade.

The closing moments of the match on AEW Dynamite saw Jade Cargill reversing Red Velvet’s offense with her to pin Red Velvet and go forward with her current title run. Thus, she also earned her 50th career win since entering the AEW roster.
Prior to becoming a Baddie, Cargill and Red Velvet shared a rivalry as Cargill defeated her in the TBS Championship Title tournament Quarter Final. However, they entered an alliance to become stronger but the alliance was torn apart after Jade herself attacked her all of a sudden after her title defense on AEW Dynamite, last month.

AEW Dynamite: Jade Cargill almost came up short against Red Velvet
Red Velvet almost ended the title run of Velvet on AEW Dynamite and nearly became the one in 19-1. This could have been a reality unless Keira Hogan attacked Leila Grey and sent her into the steps. While it was happening, Red Velvet was attempting a pin on the champion but the referee Aubrey Edwards was distracted by Hogan and Grey.
When she did go for the count, Cargill was able to get her shoulder up. After this, Cargill hit her Jaded finisher to earn her 50th consecutive win. With her daughters present in the ring, it was in indeed a celebratory night for the proud mother.
On January 5, Cargill reached the one-year landmark as AEW TBS Champion. As she walked to the ring on last night’s AEW Dynamite, the AEW tron also showed the stat shown on screen. Currently, Cargill is also the longest-reigning champion in AEW history at 392 days. Going by the current scenario, she’s not dropping her title, anytime soon.
